Lucid Air
Hi! We just brought home our new baby Lucid Air and they told us our Chargepoint home charger (which we installed to charge our previous Jaguar I-Pace and current Cadillac Lyriq ) would work just fine . . but alas. It won't charge the car. Is this just a thing? Do we need to invest in a Lucid charger now? Or does anyone have any suggestions on settings we can play with to make these things compatible? I would rather not have to get a new charger . . .as it is, the new car is already in the shop for 10 days because the Apple CarPlay and other items are all screwy. Sigh.

Mine has worked fine on a variety of non-Lucid chargers.
Thanks for this. Is it a 2025 model? If that is the case, perhaps it is a problem with our particular vehicle and not the charger. And if so, we've only owned it for 2 weeks they should fix this for us.

Mine worked fine clippercreek, Tesla charger with adapter and Lucid charger. With Lucid charger, the schedule charging works fine with no issues.

Don't try scheduling charging from the Chargepoint. The Air has an AC charging operation design flaw and will not work with charger-side scheduling.
Schedule charging from the car only. Leave the Chargepoint operating without a schedule.

Exactly, I had the same issue. Once I turned off schedule on Chargepoint app, it works.

My 2025 works fine at EA charging station.

Mine worked fine. I did buy the Lucid charger though, for a quicker charge and because it looks super cool.

Make sure scheduled charging on the ChargePoint charger is off. Mine will work.

I have a 2025 AT and just installed a ChargePoint Home Flex charger in my garage. It worked fine for me. I plugged in my AT, set up a charging schedule on the ChargePoint, and charging started as scheduled and completed once it reached the charge limit I had set in my AT.
Only quibble is that the ChargePoint app measured the charging time from when I first connected to the AT to when I disconnected, but when I looked at the detailed graph in the ChargePoint app I could see the kWh delivered over the specific timeframe the car was actually being charged.

Our Lucid Air Pure 2023 charges on our home ChargePoint 50A. We use the car's charge commands & not the ChargePoint's. We have had trouble with the charger shutting down after the charge session is finished. We had our original charger replaced because of this problem. That one was a hard wired unit. The replacement unit is a plug in unit but acts exactly the same. After many communications someone with helpful knowledge at ChargePoint informed us Lucid vehicles can not communicate with ChargePoint Level 2 chargers. Based on our ongoing experience for about 4 months now this does seem to be the case. It is nice to be able to just unplug and plug the charger in again rather than having to run to the basement to flip the circuit breaker each time it was necessary to reset the charger. I informed out local sales rep in Natick, MA of the problem so hopefully ChargePoint & Lucid will resolve this issue in an upcoming OTA.

I have a ChargePoint charger at home and it works fine. I did run into a problem once. App says cable is connected but the car was NOT charging. Restarting the car software did not help. I then went my electrical panel and switched off and on the circuit breaker. This resolved the issue

If your trying to use scheduled charging, schedule the time to start in the car, then plug the car in. In the app tell it to start charging. This will trigger lucid to know it's plugged in. The car will then start charging at the scheduled charging time. It will also end charging based on the schedule you have set up in the chargepoint. This has helped me maintain time of use charging for the lucid and for my Volvo which does not have vehicle side scheduling.

This is exactly what happened to me. I have a 2025 AT for about a week now. My home ChargePoint is new and on a separate 80A breaker. When I connect the cable it says "cable connected" on the Lucid mobile app, but just doesn't start charging. After several minutes, I get an error notification on the Lucid app. I tried several troubleshooting steps, including a logo reset but the only thing that's worked is a breaker-reset on the ChargePoint circuit. Once the CP wall box comes back online, I can plug in the cable, and everything charges correctly. This has happened over several days now. BTW, also tried using the ChargePoint app "reboot" function but that didn't work either. I really hope I don't have to reset the breaker every time I need to charge the car. My next step is to try Lucid Customer Care and if necessary, the ChargePoint support team.

Have you tried another vehicle to make sure it isn't chargepoint?

Just plugged in Lucid for the first time today and ChargePoint worked great. I’ve used the charger for three years.

I should have mentioned, I have made sure scheduled charging is off on both the car and on the ChargePoint.
And no, I haven’t tried another vehicle. The Lucid is the only EV we have.

Is give chargepoint service a call. They can help troubleshoot over the phone. Lucid service might be able to stop by with a vehicle to help test as well.

Ok…I’m sad to report I’m suffering from the same Chargepoint issue in home charger. I have to switch off power to get it to work. Otherwise it just says it’s connected, but Lucid won’t start charging.

I have been using ChargePoint charger as well. Occasionally, you will see a RED light on the charger for unknow reason. The only way to get around is turn off the breaker and turning it back on.
You would see the solid RED on right side of the charger as shown below
