Maybe the 21 inch were a bad idea

So in other words, all current wheel offerings from lucid are cast?
Not sure. Maybe contact customer care and ask.

The website lists the DE 21” wheels as forged. It doesn’t specify anything about the others.

In my experience, forged wheels are much stronger than cast, so unless I can confirm with Lucid that the 21" Aero Blade wheels are forged, I will pass and get the 19".

so i reached out to my SA who said the 21" wheels on GT are forged.

To those of you who asked the rims by themselves weigh 36.4 lbs no tire

Phenomenal info thank you so much! I’ve been wanting to find this info for a while now. 36-37 lbs per wheel seems rather heavy. Anyone wanna take one of their Dream Edition wheels off and weigh it for comparison? @hydbob? @borski? 😁😁
I will if I encounter this issue, so I hope I never have an answer for you!

I just hit a massive pothole in my 19” wheels going about 45 - 50 mph. Now there’s a slight vibration in the car that seems to max out at about 30 mph. There’s nothing visibly wrong with the wheels from the outside, and I thought the 19” wheels had enough sidewall to avoid rim damage so I thought maybe it was alignment? After seeing the photos from this post I’m not sure. What is the next step, is this a service call to Lucid or do I take it to a tire shop?

You probably won’t see damage on the outside. The inner rim is the one that deforms due to it being farther from the support spokes. Believe me you can bend 19s, I’ve done two. If you feel that vibration yes you probably have a bent rim

Okay, thanks for the advice. I‘m already waiting for a service appointment so I’ll get them to add this to the list
