Lunar Titanium Availability?

Would be incredible if they released the Gravity X, though I'm not holding my breath
That's what I want to! They should introduce it at investor day (this is a dream)! I think they are more inclined to leave it with the midsize variant, but with sales not being super high I say why not offer this variant sooner rather than later.

I just received a call from a Lucid inside sales representative, and honestly I’m pretty shocked by the conversation.

They offered me the same $5,000 incentive, but it can only be applied to an inventory vehicle.

The problem is that there are no well-optioned inventory vehicles available, other than green. I was also told that I have six (6) days to either accept or reject the offer, and the incentive cannot be used toward a built-to-order vehicle.

At this point I’m honestly a bit speechless.

Lucid held my deposit for thirteen (13) months, during which time there were repeated assurances about the ordering process. Now they’ve closed the build-to-order option, and the only path forward they’re offering is to choose from the current inventory — which, at least from what I can see, doesn’t really match the configurations many of us originally ordered.

I’m struggling to understand how this is the outcome after waiting over a year.

Has anyone else been given the same $5,000 inventory-only offer?
If so, what are you planning to do?
In anticipation of the 5K "killed color incentive" most likely only applying to inventory or in-production vehicles I went on the configurator, put in my original design configuration with a different color choice, and then went to look for existing vehicles in inventory only to find there's not anything that matches and the high percentage "matches" contain options I'm not interested in or am unwilling to pay for. So I'm guessing that only leaves me with two real options now: wait for the 2027 year model (with possible more up-to-date hardware iterations) or just go buy another brand.

Not the end of the world for me as I'm not in a hurry to replace my current car (although my wife wishes I was) but still disappointing as the very first time I saw a Lucid Gravity it was an eye catching sleek looking Lunar Titanium/Platinum car with rear tinted windows, a surfboard on top, and a bike on the back rack and said to myself, "what is THAT?!!..my Subaru Outback won't last forever and it's cargo space is a bit too small when we go camping"

Way to burst the dream bubble Lucid!...lol
Oh well, on to 2027 and beyond!!

Not really sure what the big deal is about Lunar Titanium. I understand people wanted it, but it seems like it’s not happening. Disappointments happen in life, I’m sure you could get your deposit back and move on to another vehicle if you’re unhappy with Lucid. Or just pick any color inventory vehicle if it has all the options you want. Take the $5k offer and get the Gravity wrapped in a Lunar Titanium color. Exterior colors are easy to change.
The point is that, for a number of people, there aren't any that have all the other options where it's just a question of color change.

Since we had existing orders, and there are still orders in the production queue that haven't been assigned a VIN, our orders should just be modified to change the exterior color, and then beuilt along with all the other yet-to-be-fulfilled orders. But they won't do that. THIS is the poor treatment that I'm objecting to.

I asked specifically whether the $5k and the $7500 lease incentive would both still apply if my order was re-entered once custom orders open again, and I was told yes. It didn't sound like this was at the discretion of the rep though. I asked for that assurance in writing and the rep told me that she would escalate my request.
Since you got a different story I will follow up and ask the question again.

Please let us know if you indeed get that in writing and maybe even post it here so the rest of us w/ outstanding LT orders can go present it to our SA's and demand consistent treatment across the brand!

Got the same call today. Went White w/platinum loaded from inventory. Honestly though I'm still glad I waited, betting I get a little bit better built vehicle and seems like the software is quite a bit better at this point. Probably just jinxed myself.

They’re offering you $5k, which is $4k more than they need to. I don’t see any “poor treatment”. Do you think Tesla or Rivian would treat you any better? Since 2026 orders are done, they’re not going to just start up the line to custom build these. The options are to take what’s in inventory, wait till 2027 or just move on and buy something else. If you really feel burned then speak with your wallet and take your business elsewhere.

Going to disagree with you here, Lucid strung people along telling them that the LT Gravity were still coming and waited until they both stopped custom orders to be able to get exactly what you want and the available inventory was stuffed with a lot of lower spec cars. Offering a short time discount on cars you obviously weren't interested in (or you would have already bought one) isn't much of a concession for having an order cancelled out from them.

I've said it before, Lucid's sales process is very much lacking, especially in the market they're trying to position themselves in with Gravity and Air. Their service is shaping out to be even worse. I love my Gravity but the corporate side of everything is a complete trainwreck IMO. And yes, both Tesla and Rivian are far, far, far better with both sales and service channels.

I guess what is the end point then for you? You were given the $5k credit towards an inventory model. If you’re not satisfied with that then request a refund of your deposit and go buy another vehicle. Having owned 3 Teslas prior, Tesla sales and service is not perfect either. Lucid is running a business, for some reason LT didn’t work out for them. So they need to just refund order deposits at a minimum. They went above that and offered a $5k inventory credit. At some point you’ll need to realize it’s a done deal and just move on.

I'm not the person who was complaining, just agreeing with them. I already have my Gravity and am in service hell right now.. Also had a Tesla before and never had anywhere near as bad an experience buying or getting service for one, especially here in SoCal. I nearly didn't get my Gravity given how bad sales was and now service is even worse IMO. I've gone from loving it to questioning owning it again.

Honestly I get asked about the Gravity a lot and now when people ask I tell them that I think it's the best EV you can buy but sales and service are a major problem.

I see you retracted your comment but ya know, it isn't so much about not getting LT (another color will do), it's more about a bunch of us having ordered a nice car with certain well thought out decisions on specs months ago and having been told by the company it's "delayed" but still coming "late winter" only to see customizable ordering for the current model year get shuttered.... and then be told (or in a lot of our cases not be told anything and have to find out on here) that it's not going to be available after all and that we can take a 4% discount if we accept an inventory car well after the pool of those has been picked over and like @RandomDesign said none of us was really interested in or we'd have swapped for one of those and purchased it already. We are now not apparently being offered the chance to just pick a different color and still have our vehicles with the same configurations we ordered produced after waiting all these months.
If it happened to you you may not feel like you were treated right...jus' sayin'

I didn’t retract any comments. I understand you guys feel slighted, but what’s done is done. Just get your deposit back and/or order a 2027 exactly how you want it minus the LT color. You’re out time, but part of that was your decision to keep waiting.

I don’t think the issue is really about the color being dropped, it’s more “the color is dropped and pick from our scraps”. Now these people need to wait even longer than they already have for the 2027 to be released so they can custom order.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but maybe Lucid should’ve pulled the color while 2026’s were still able to be ordered and people wouldn’t be so annoyed. Lucid needs all the sales it can get, mistakes like this don’t help them grow the brand.

Not to beat a dead horse, but to add some context and color for those who are asking, "what's the big deal, just pick another color and get a $4k discount", here is some of my experience.

- 11/7/2024, 8:21 am: Ordered fully loaded Gravity GT in Lunar Titanium
- 11/24/2025: Received a call from a new SA that my previous SA was gone from Lucid. Lunar Titanium production should start in December
- 1/5/2026: spoke to SA who said LT production should start in February
- 2/3/2026: spoke to SA who said LT production should start in a couple of weeks; expect delivery in late March
- 2/23/2026: spoke to SA who said they had no idea when LT production would be starting; possible delivery no sooner than sometime in April at best
- 3/3/2026: left a message for SA asking about LT being deleted from available colors, and @nicktwork 's comment that there would be no longer be the option to place a custom order until the 2027 model production started. SA responded via email that:

"I received your voicemail and checked in with my manager about any updates on Lunar Titanium. He let me know that more information is coming very soon. I’m expecting to have a clearer answer for you within the next week or two."

-3/4/2026: I called my SA and they confirmed that LT *would* in fact be produced, and would have more information within the next 2 weeks or so.

I have been reaching out to my SA since early yesterday after seeing peoples' reports about LT cancellation, but have been unable to make contact.

My wife really wanted Lunar Titanium, so I held out for that - not wanting to settle for something else after 14 months just to have it being delivered 2 months later. And I have had to continually deliver each updated story line for "why" and "when", with Lucid's credibility and the reliability of their word (and mine...) getting more threadbare with each turn.

I'd like to thank and commend @marqie for doing their best to try to bridge the communication gaps and get people the help and information they need, but if some people's SAs are saying LT is dead, and you get a consolation discount (whether for inventory or '27 custom order or both is still unclear) and my SA is saying something different (and their manager is saying that...) then there is a serious communication problem, which is making me give more and more credence and sympathy to all of the people who have sounded so desperate about communication problems over their serious car problems.

I *think* I still want to purchase this vehicle, in some other color, but I don't know how or when at this point, (from *very* limited inventory, or new order for '27 model, and when?) which seems kind of untenable for a brand that is aspiring to the highest quality user experience.

If someone knows the bottom line for moving forward, please share.

We took an extended test drive today. Wanted to try three car seats across since we have a new addition since our last test drive. The loaded White / Platinum GGT was the one we wanted. Credit to you for being decisive. I knew it wouldn’t last long and am kicking myself now.

Guess we’ll have to wait until 2027 models or look for something else.

One way to sell the leftovers is cancel all the pending LTs

Given how long you've waited, I might recommend you see what comes with the 2027 model refresh. Lucid has been very tight lipped about what they are changing; possibly some veil of secrecy before the March 12th investor briefing. I don't expect that they'll introduce new colors for 2027, but who knows?

The situation with LT sucks. I almost ordered LT but I wasn’t willing to wait.

I recall reading somewhere that adding a new color is very costly from a manufacturing standpoint. I wouldn’t be surprised if LT had to be cut given the current business conditions.

At least Lucid is trying to take away some of the sting with the $5k offer.

oh?..thought I read your comment post saying "what does this have to do with not getting LT" ...or something like that...my mistake! 🙄

As I said, I'm fine waiting for the 2027 model...probably have updated hardware and more mature SW as well anyhooooo
