Lunar Titanium Availability?

I connected with my SA. While the information was far from definitive, it doesn’t sound like LT is going to be produced anytime soon. He said Lucid would reach out directly to discuss options to swap to a different color.
im going to guess that means the rumours about the paint reflection are true, its impossible to do.

I think any information we receive outside of an official statement from Lucid should be taken with a grain of salt, but it sounds like that statement is coming soon.

The rumor about sensors having difficulty with paint reflections is as logical a reason for the indefinite delay of LT that I have heard; but, even if it makes sense, it’s still speculation at this point. Maybe we should get a pool going?

I already have a bet w/ @borski

LT was probably my favorite color option but I opted for black to take delivery last August. At this point just give us other colors like Zenith red. A zenith red gravity would look sharp. Enough of the muted colors!

Agree, brighten up those colors, more people will notice and brings brand awareness

LT is dead. Just got the call from Lucid. $5k credit plus extension of the $7.5k lease credit, supposedly even beyond 31 March if you continue with a custom order instead of switching to an inventory car. I've asked for that in writing. But they won't change the color on the existing order, which really pisses me off considering that there MUST be custom orders with other colors that are still in the pipeline, and it's Lucid's own decision not to build what I ordered. None of the inventory cars match what I want in other options that I don't want to change. So if one doesn't come up soon I have to wait until custom orders open up again to modify my order.
On top of that, there IS a car that matches everything except for the wheel size, but they won't even swap out the wheels at the SC before delivery to make the sale. There must be wheels available as spare parts.

can you explain that further ?... Lucid called you?... 5k Credit for what? Did you custom order LT?..or a different color?

Sorry about the LT being dead. I switched in December when there was nothing in sight.

Regarding wheels, there are limits on what a car company can do. The VIN has very specific equipment on it and it has to be sold as identified or it is a non-conforming build. You can buy another set of wheels after sale, but they don't have to take the original wheels back. My suggestion is to consider buying the wheels you want and either offering the factory wheels for sale or keeping them to sell with the car when you eventually sell the car.

Just my two cents... Oh, that's right, we don't use pennies any more...

Gravity VIN doesn't encode wheel size (https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/VinDecoder?VIN=7UUG1GHJ6SA012345&ModelYear=2025). I'm sure this is just a company internal-bookkeeping restriction, i.e. they won't go back and modify the build database entry if the SC changes the wheels. So my complaint about Lucid's inflexibility in this case still stands. It doesn't seem to be a legal compliance issue, and they didn't offer that as an excuse when I asked for the wheel swap. The SC could log the wheels as defective on delivery and replace them. Considering that they pulled the rug on customers that have been waiting a long time, and the likelihood that this will generate bad press, they should have come up with a creative solution to get those customers what they want rather than just throwing $5k at it and assuming that will make everyone ok with their bait-and-switch.

How long will it take for us to re-learn the term to 2 nickels?

This tracks with what my SA told me yesterday. He said Lucid would be reaching out directly and mentioned an incentive to swap colors, but I didn't relay the latter detail because I didn't have specifics.

I'm disappointed, but we've been let down gradually over the last year. At this point, I just want a Gravity in my driveway. It probably makes sense to wait for Investor Day to see if there are any additional announcements, right? For example, if 27 model years are just around the corner and there are improvements worth waiting for. But I also understand that we can play that game forever, and we've waited long enough.

My SA just contacted me and shared the same news. I just swapped for an inventory car this week after waiting 15 months. I will be getting the $5k credit which is good. As for if they don't deliver it this month for the $7500 she didn't mention it. I'll double check.

I guess if you try looking at the bright side of waiting 15 months, you're getting a tonne of incentives now than if you had of gotten the car earlier

The car has to be delivered as stated on the build sheet/monroney sticker. That is how it came out of the factory. The studio could absolutely add PPF, new wheels or anything else, but it would be in addition to the vehicle as specified on the build documents when it came out of the factory. If they recall the wheels ten years from now, they need to know exactly which cars should be included in the recall.

But, taking the thought process further, if they introduced LT in 6 months, would that constitute them making a false statement when you purchase your new car now, since they said LT was not available at this time? What if they introduce 12 new colors - are they in breach since they didn't tell us they were coming? LT is not available for the 2027 model year and they are only selling 2026 models that have already been produced. I don't get the sense of indignation - frustration, absolutely, anger yes - but they're giving you $5K for your inconvenience and they didn't have to do that.

If you chose to get out of the order, they'd probably let you and reimburse your deposit. They don't owe you anything. I'm sorry, I just don't get it.

Now, back to your regular scheduled programming....
