I'm heading to LA for business this weekend and I'm planning to finally see the Air in person. Has anyone been to the Beverly Hills or Century City studios? If so, which one is the better one to go to? Thanks in advance.

To answer my own question, I went to both locations this past weekend.

Beverly Hills was definitely the better option. I spent about an hour there and only 1 other person showed up the entire time. On the other hand, Century City is an open air mall, so there's a lot of foot traffic and more people stopping in to check out the car. Being the service center too, BH was a huge space to check out the car and VR simulator. Much airier (no pun intended) than CC.

BH has an exterior GT shell in black to see what the production model will look like, as well as a beta model with the Tahoe interior. CC has a preproduction GT in zenith red with the Mojave interior.

I can say I was quite impressed with the fit and finish of the interiors and it solidified my intent to get the car. I'm 6 foot and there was about 5 inches in front of my knees when sitting in the back seat after adjusting the front seat. HUGE!

Now, trying to decide between T and GT. If only they'd post the cost of the options...

Options cost - yeah, wish we knew more. But I'm sure the sales staff wish they had more info too. They can't even tell you what is being decontented from the GT to bring the cost down for the T (other than battery - HP is supposed to be just detuning the motor so no cost). I asked about heated/ventilated/massage front seats and they didn't know if they will be available on the T. If they don't offer ventilated seats in the T, I'm cancelling.

According to posts in another thread, Lucid hasn't finalized what will be offered on the Dream so I guess no surprise they don't know what will be on the T.

Did the car have the larger or smaller battery pack?

I just confirmed my Dream order in Zenith Red but have only seen actual cars in Eureka Gold and Quantum Grey. What did you think of the red?

It had the larger pack. I had the sales associate switch between the GT and T while looking at the back row using the VR simulator and the difference was pretty drastic. I'd guess there's a 3-4" depth to the foot well.

The red was nicer than I thought it'd be. I'm going to go with the Quantum Grey though, but red would be my 2nd choice. I took some pics, but they're apparently too big to upload...

Last pic is me behind where I set the front seat for my comfort.

Yep, the rear floorboard is 3.15" higher with the larger battery pack. It does jack your knees up a bit, but at least there's loads of front-to-back legroom.

Funny you say that. Quantum Grey would be my first choice, too, but it's not offered with the Dream Edition. That's the color they have in the Miami Design Studio (with the Tahoe interior), and it looks great. It would really jive with the Santa Monica interior.

Zenith Red would have been my second choice, but it's the best of the four Dream colors in my opinion. Two friends who have been to the Design Studios with me thought the Zenith Red was the best color of the six.

I tend to like brown-biased cars and have had several over the years. My Tesla Model S was the Titanium Metallic (a light brownish-gray) that was only offered for a year. I loved it, and it drew loads of compliments. So I have tried to get my head around the Eureka Gold, even driving three hours to the West Palm Beach showroom to see it in the flesh. In some lights it looks pretty good, but in some it seems almost mustard. I had finally settled on the Infinite Black until Zenith Red got added to the roster.

There's a reservation tracker on the other Lucid forum. It's a small sampling (27 respondents), but Quantum Grey and Zenith Red are the two most-selected colors (6 Greys and 5 Reds at last count).

When my reservation for the Grand Touring Trim comes due, I also plan to order the Quantum Gray. Unsure which interior I want to go with. The Tahoe has too much orange for me, so my choice is between light or dark? How does the walnut interior trim panels look vs the carbon oak interior trim panels (Santa Cruz vs Mojave interiors.)

The Tahoe has too much orange for me . . . .

When I first saw the interior color palettes on the internet I assumed it was my computer monitor that made the Tahoe look so orange and that the true color would be more a saddle brown. When I saw the Tahoe interior in Miami, though, it turned out the monitor was rendering the color accurately. It's very orange.

I don't necessarily dislike it with some exterior colors, but someone really ought to see the real thing before choosing it on an online configurator.

I'm planning on Zenith Red for my AGT, even though red cars are supposed to get more speeding tickets.

Personally, I like the walnut better than the oak as the walnut is a natural mid tone brown and the oak is stained black. That being said, I'm going with the Mojave interior because I don't want really light seats and I think the gray seats/trim matches the gray exterior and black front seats better.

Great pics Neurio. I would think that other members of this Forem would appreciate if those that have been to the studios could also post pictures of the various exterior and interiors of the Airs on display. I know I appreciate it, as I am not sure when my home state of Oregon will even get one. Interesting that you state the walnut is a mid tone brown as it comes across as an orange brown on my computer.

Maybe you'll be stopped by cops just wanting a closer look at the car. That happened to me twice shortly after I got my 2015 Tesla Model S P90D, at a time when Teslas were still relatively rare on the road. One policeman pulled me because I was actually speeding, but we started talking about the car, and he never wrote the ticket. Another time two detectives in an unmarked car pulled me over when I was not doing anything wrong. They opened with an apology for alarming me and immediately started asking about the car. (It also happened to me once when I got the first Audi R8 in my area.) Sometimes cops are car guys, too.

I tried to upload a couple of pictures from our visits to the Miami Studio (Quantum Gray car with Tahoe interior), but the site wouldn't upload them due to size. I tried uploading screen shots of smaller frames within the photos, but that didn't work either.

We also have some shots of the Eureka Gold with Santa Monica interior from the West Palm Beach Studio.

If it's any consolation, Google Images has some good shots that render color on my computer pretty much the same as the photos we took.

Here are a few I forgot to post that were shot during my visit to the NY studio. This car is in Cosmos Silver with the Mojave interior. These were shot with my iPhone 12 (I had a Canon R5 with me which I should have used). My wife grabbed the interior shot with her iPhone 11.

I had to downsize my pics to 20% on my phone's photo editor to be able to upload, which made each pic just over 1MB in size. Silly limits on this forum I guess

Thanks. I downsized them. Lost some detail but the color still shows. Quantum Grey. This was opening day at the Miami Studio. Never could get a clear shot with the doors closed due to the traffic in the store.

Tahoe interior. This color rendition is accurate. It's a real orange fiesta inside.

This captures the color shift with different lighting. My favorite exterior color for this car, particularly with the brushed aluminum roof rails. Strong but not jarring contrast.
