Lucid Offers $7,500 Incentive on Gravity SUV as U.S. Federal EV Credit Ends

Lucid Motors said it will offer a $7,500 rebate on its upcoming Gravity SUV to offset the phase-out of the U.S. federal electric vehicle tax credit, which is due to end in September.

The “Lucid Advantage Credit” will be available for customers who order a Gravity by Sept. 30 and lease it between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31. Existing qualifying customers will also be covered.

I'm surprised they're doing this. I was one of the people who predicted they wouldn't offer much in the way of incentives until they're producing more vehicles than there's demand for. I think it's a great move to ensure customer satisfaction, and avoid early order holders feel like they're getting screwed by Lucid's slow production ramp.
