Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

My car has had a lot of trouble locating itself in native map and apple car play. Yesterday couldn't get either to locate correctly despite 2-tone reset. Happened one other time a few days back.

Never had this before, not sure if related to 3.6.

Another example of how massive is was for Lucid to get Android Auto and Carplay implemented.

I've been an AA user for years and figured I'd keep using it when it came to my Gravity, but it's proving to be WAY more important than I expected as a bypass around so many annoyances with the car's native systems. And not just for nav. The far more meaningful bypass is around the car's native audio system that's practically unusable for me because (other than FM) it relies entirely on getting an AT&T cell signal. Which has sucky coverage in my area. Getting my audio through AA now using my phone's far more dependable T-Mobile network has been a godsend. I haven't even touched the car's native audio screen in months. Actually makes driving the Gravity enjoyable now rather than being perpetually pissed at lost connectivity and audio cutting out every drive.

Seems like a shame not being able to use the larger audio UI on the pilot panel and be relegated to using the smaller AA screen on top, but it least that one works.

The other issue is I’ve been driving around quite a bit today and still the highway assist is not becoming available. Anyone have any ideas?
My DDP stopped working after the update. It has been this way now for over 10 days. I’ve had my GGT almost a year and DDP has not worked for over six months of that time. The icon never shows up and when I try to engage it says no. I have an appointment at service tomorrow and they anticipate it will be fixed and I will be on my way quickly…

Just got back from a road trip and I think I have discovered an odd software bug. I noticed twice after driving away from a DC fast charger (a 400kw Alpitronics one at Buccee's) that my headlights were on in broad daylight and I could not turn them back off or turn on auto until the car was stopped or parked. After this happened the first time, I thought it was a fluke.---but then it happened again. This did not happen after the 3 times I used a Tesla Supercharger during the trip. Not sure if anyone else has had this weird bug pop up. And, of course, I noticed the lights were on both times while on the highway with no stops so I ended up driving several hundred miles with my lights on during the day until I had a stop where I could fix it.

That's interesting, and worth reporting to [email protected]

If you hit the button on the pilot screen for ride height there's an Auto setting on the bottom that's a toggle.
I wonder if awareness of this is contributing to some of the efficiency differences that people are reporting? My impression is that lowering the ride height at higher speed makes a real difference in efficiency, not just driving dynamics.

Maybe although my efficiency is low even though I have always had the ride height on auto or low.

A question for anyone who works for Lucid who might be monitoring this, and/or anyone else in the group who hasn't received the update.

I bought my 2026 Gravity GT in March and received the email about the 3.6 update on June 8th (2 weeks ago), but haven't received the update.

Is the update based on when you bought your vehicle? Thanks in advance!

No. It is random as far as us outsiders can tell.
I'd give it another week, and then contact customer service to ask for it to be re-pushed.

Drove the car some today. The doors presented 3-4 seconds before I got to the car one time. The other 3 times were the usual 5-10 seconds of standing at the door waiting. 😞

Anyone else notice a change in the Accelerator behavior? It feels much more like the RWD Air Pure I drove 6 months ago. Feels different/better, especially easier to control speed and the transitions between acceleration and regen are much smoother and less delay....

Feels softer, right?

Yeah, I'm noticing this as well. Driving up a curvy road in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Silicon Valley, the car lost its position and had to recalculate a few times. This hadn't happened before, and never in other cars like Teslas, BMWs or an old Honda Ridgeline.

Note that Carplay depends on the GPS signal from the vehicle, so if that GPS location is bad, both native navigation AND CarPlay will be bad. This is what I think is happening. I'll report it to Lucid, but looks like it'll take months to get fixed at Lucid's current release schedule.

It does 80A but it seems people are having varying success of how long it holds 80A. Yesterday mine held 85A from 18% to 60% the charged at 55A the remainder to 90%.

I think usually it holds 80 to 69-70% before dropping down. Maybe there was a change in the charging curve after the update.
Why would it go down eve, AC charging should not reduce at any point...

All charging rates drop as the battery gets full.
But even as you get to 99%, DCFC doesn't fall below 10 kW (i.e. L2 power). If 10 kW is OK for the battery there for DCFC, seems like it should be OK from L2 as well.

They are not supposed to. Only DC charging rates should drop as the SOC increases. That this happens right now appears to be a bug (and doesn’t happen with Lucid’s latest LCHCS)

I should clarify for those following my updates - several techs and back-and-forth with the San Jose service center to check on my GT's AC home charging have confirmed the "expected" behavior of the SW making adjustments around the 60% of "Charge Limit" setting. And for sure there is AC charging components delta between GT and DE's.

Now I did push hard that as a customer I don't expect AC charging to ever reduce as SOC increases but that is the current state of GT's HW and SW combo - and it may not be all GT's but possibly some components binned or out of spec, or just SW not modulating well. In any case that is what the service techs know from their communications with engineering side. As for what's the long term POR (Plan of Record), they have no idea. Maybe SW can eventually fix things up so all GT's can AC charge at max rate the whole time, but I wouldn't bank on it in the near term.
