Lucid Gravity 3.4.0 software update

It definitely needs to be fixed if not charging properly, but I am curious what situation you're in where AC charging time is making such a huge impact? I know there are some situations where it can, but they're usually not common. The typical scenario is having home charging and plugging in overnight for 10-14 hours, where even routine 32A is usually sufficient for a full charge by morning.
It's not about the situation, it's the fact that they are offering a product that is supposed to work a certain way and it's not working in that manner. Also, I bought a product to work with this feature (80A home charger) and I cannot use it correctly or to its full extent due to their broken product. When you buy other goods and they are not working as stated, you take them back to get fixed or get a new one. Obviously at this point I'm not asking for a new one, I just want the AC charging to work properly (fixed) like other Gravity owners with 80A chargers who are experiencing no issues with continuous charging at this speed. Heck, the update even ruined individuals who are using lesser than 80A chargers, as some are experiencing this throttling issue as well. Others have had this issue and had their AC internal chargers replaced and have reported better performance. The fact that they changed charging parameters and hindered continuous charging with the latest software update, might lead one to think there's a deeper issue at play here.

Got it. The vociferousness of your comments made it seem like it was severely impacting your ability to use the car, so I just wondered.

Definitely needs to be fixed, like the many other "low impact but still annoying" quirks. One more for the list.

I'm presuming you took the fob out of the area? Or the digital keycard? Does anyone try the keycard when something like this happens? Is the car not responding at all or just not responding to key fob and would respond to keycard?
Walked away with the fob. I didn't try the card this time but I've had it happen before and did try the card which didn't work either.

Can one use the car with just the iPhone now?
No, there is no phone as a key (PaaK) yet. You can use the app to unlock the car but not drive it.

That's a brilliant observation- turned off wifi on my phone, and voila! Live view is working! Thanks....
Live View remains dead for me. WiFi/Cellular, doesn't matter.
I even have a screen shot where it briefly says it's working, showing my current address, but the video feed is from days ago.

SWFeedback must be tired of me by now.

I took my Gravity skiing last week in northern Maine. Most of the week it sat outside in -10 to 20 degree weather, and got like 8 inches of snow and wind. When I tried to enter to leave all door handles opened except (of course) the driver’s door. It didn’t move. I tried several lock, unlock cycles, nothing. So I banged on it for a while, and eventually it partially opened. But there was visible ice in the mechanism which I chiseled away with a dull screwdriver, then it opened! PIA! Also, both front and rear washer fluid was frozen! PIA. It’s 2 weeks old, so I’m assuming it had Arizona washer fluid. But the frozen door handle scares me for future trips!
For a point of comparison, we were in upstate NY a few weeks ago in slightly balmier -10 to 5 temps and they got about 16 inches of snow when we were there. No problems with handles or washer fluid. The vehicle was initially delivered to Florida (and then shipped up to Virginia).

We've also heard from an owner in Minnesota having no issues with frozen handles or windows.
Just something else to consider for comparison.

I had my vehicle in service and picked it up a week and a half ago and the service center swore the new update would fix the problem. They tried to tell me it was acting normal and didn't have answers when I questioned them on the throttling since it had just failed on their charger as well. It's almost like they either didn't want to deal with it or didn't know how to deal with it. I'm taking back a pretty detailed spreadsheet to show them all the charging inconsistencies so hopefully they can work with engineering as well to figure out a fix.
They probably don't even know. I wonder who works on the team that does the charging stuff.

We had some rave reviews on here about the Houston service center.
Doesn't fix your issue, but perhaps provides some hope for what's to come.

I’d send that to the software bug email address. More likely to get real attention and understanding. I don’t think folks at SC have deep understanding of battery, charging, etc. It’s likely an engineering/software issue and HQ will have to advise SCs on how to address.

Good point.
I hadn't been following the situation with @GravitMe too closely.
Sometimes this forum is like a tv series and if you miss an episode, you've gotta play catch up.

I saw the mention of the Houston service center and recalled the good comments about it from members.
In this case, it sounds like they're in over their heads.
Hopefully a learning opportunity for them that will benefit others in the future.

Updated last week before leaving on a week long vacation. The only regression is that there is massive latency now with the key fob. I have to push lock or unlock many times before the car will actually lock/unlock. Service center is going to take a look next week.

I have replaced the key fob battery and rebooted the car and no improvement.
I have the same problem. Key fob since update is unpredictable. And sometime does not lock the vehicle on walk away. This is a major issue for security of the car. Hope they can fix this quickly.

Otherwise I LOVE the update. Fixed so many issues and added new very useful features. Looking forward to the next round.

So it’s not actually impacting your ability to use the vehicle. You just want to see a bigger number on screen while charging.

I agree. Twice now it didn't lock after I walked away. Never happened pre update.

Update 3.4.1 brought a lot of quality of life improvements for me. Spotify is better, I have zero incidents when the car won’t start, and many settings are now saved when you switch profiles. Indeed, it was much better than before. But…

Tomorrow they will be picking my car up and lending me a loaner, probably an Air, because the car is unstable, with plenty of warnings everywhere: high beams, backup sensors, pedestrian collision warnings, not able to use the ACC and so on…

I took delivery of my 2026 Gravity on December 31st, and the update is what should have been there on day one, but I haven’t had a single day without incidents, some serious, some don’t, but it is never the same.

Lucid had sent me custom updates for my false sensor warnings that still are present in v3.4.1. I already demanded a full payback and refund, but before that, they wanted to examine the car by themselves. I really hope nobody passes for the terrible experience that I had with this vehicle.

Figured I would post an update to this. I took my Gravity out this AM to see if it would DC fast charge. Currently charging just fine at a Tesla Supercharger. So, it appears the 3.4.1 update just broke my ability to AC charge at all, hasn’t affected DC fast charging.

I should be hearing from the Dallas satellite team on Monday regarding next steps.
One additional update here. It appears my onboard charger is faulty and needs to be replaced (unsure if this is related to software update or not - but the timing is definitely interesting).

Unfortunately this is something that can’t be done via mobile or at Park Place (where Lucid does more in depth repairs in DFW). So, it will need to be towed Monday to Houston for repair.

I've already sent the issue with evidence to the SW feedback email address with my contact info and haven't heard back as of yet. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I agree the service center's understanding is lacking, this is based on talking with a couple individuals at this location, but the issue needs to be addressed and fixed. Going back up there tomorrow with more evidence to educate them further on the issue and put a game plan together.

already demanded a full payback and refund,
I am also nearing that point. Of course after something like that you are NDA’d, but I haven’t heard of them being difficult to deal with on that front. Pretty black and white.

If the bugs get ironed out in a few years though I’d consider a Gravity. Nothing quite like it.
