My update impressions of 3.4.1 after one day.
First thing I noticed was the lack of whistling from the fans like I pretty much always had when I used the app to pre-heat the cabin. No more turning off and then turning back on the rear HVAC to get the whistling to stop!
The Pilot Panel is quite a bit more responsive. After the 3.3.20 update, I would still get a lot of lag, particularly when switching to the seat screen. Lucid obviously stripped out quite a bit of functionality from the seats page and say they will re-add at least the seat adjustments back in a future update. Clearly there was some issue with how the seat adjustments and/or seat color determination were programmed that was causing a lot of lag.
I AC charged it last night. The charger automatically stops charging at 6 am due to electricity pricing changes and it regularly stops before hitting my 80% charge limit. I used to get and, unfortunately, still get no charge power alerts on my phone every time the vehicle wakes up. I find it very annoying and I end up unplugging it just to stop the alerts from popping up. Maybe this will be fixed in a future update.
When I had my GGT on WiFi at home, I was having issues with it being offline whenever I left my house. As with others, I found that turning off WiFi kept my GGT online all the time, so I turned it off and left it off. With this update, I am leaving WiFi on. In my first test, vehicle stayed online after I left the house and I was able to turn on heat from the app while at my destination. A sample size of one, but it is a start.
I was also regularly having an issue where the parking cameras would function as I was pulling into parking space and then go black with an error popping up on the screen saying that camera were not working and that I needed to reboot the car. I also would regularly get an error that video recording was unavailable when I put the vehicle in park, whether the cameras were working or not. So far, I have not had either of these issues since the update.
The last easily repeatable issue I’ve been having is the Dream Drive Limited error when driving into the sun when it is at a low angle. Today, it is cloudy and snowy, so I will have to test that another day.
When I have my entire family in the car, the windows regularly fog up badly and the defroster could barely keep up. I was not able to test this today, either.
Here is a weird thing - after installing the update, it changed by my and my wife's easy entry settings to put the suspension in the low setting. We have always left it in the standard height before and neither of us have any recollection of changing it. I changed it back to standard height and that has remained so I think it was just a one-off thing with the update.
More testing to come but, so far, this is another clear step in the right direction. Kudos to Lucid.
