Lucid Gravity 3.4.0 software update

Finally got my update around 10:30....finished installing around midnight and it seemed to go well. Went and sat in it after the update. Looks like everything is working. It woke up instantly when I opened the door. I did notice they removed the slightly movable 3D car from the main screen and replaced it with a fixed static image of each of the 3 drive modes...probably smart and less resource intensive. I'll report back after my commute tomorrow.

My car was in service the last 2 weeks and while there I had them check why my car won't continuously charge at 80A for more than 15 - 30 minutes, as this seems to be an issue for a few people on the various forums. They ran a test with their charger and the issue showed itself. And best part, their charger was only charging at 67A. Now the service center is telling me the new update will resolve this issue by changing battery heating parameters in the software. The service representative tried to tell me this was a normal act on the charging end for the Gravity and didn't really know what to say when I questioned her that its not and should continuously charge at 80A. For anyone who also has this issue and received the update, please let me know if this issue has resolved itself on your end. I don't get my ride back until Monday, once back in town, and I want to make sure this is indeed a fixed issue prior to picking it up if possible. Thx!
Just finished updating. I haven’t done the “power cycle” yet, so the results may change.

Charging resumed and instead of dropping to 60% of 80A (11kW) after 30 minutes or so, it dropped to 70% (13 kW). Slight improvement, but it’s still not charging at the full speed of 19kW.

Looking at LinkedIn, it appears the software leadership teams changes were around May last year. I suspect the software engineers kept working the whole time, and maybe were even more productive bug fixers without managers misdirecting them.
  • Structural shift (who owns software) happened November 5, 2025, when Dlala’s role was expanded to include software and digital systems.
  • The major “software leadership team replaced” moment was communicated at CES in early January 2026, when Winterhoff publicly said he had swapped out essentially the entire software leadership team.

Well, it's disappointing they're using 80A continuous charge as a sell point, yet the car isn't performing to this standard. I'll be sure to mention this to the service group later today. I'm already not too happy with the overall communication and customer service process coming out of the Houston service center.

Aside from that charging rate being nearly 20% better than before, we can't expect 100% of our wishes/problems/challenges be addressed in one fell swoop.

My car is in service, so can't appreciate in person the update, however it appears this was a home run update! I think credit is due - yes, it is still not perfect, however it's a lot better than the s**tshow it was just a few days ago. Bravo, Lucid, Bravo!

Plenty of patience on my end. The vehicle is still able to charge at a pretty good rate either way. It's just when you buy a product and it doesn't perform as sold, it's disappointing. Now the service center is trying to have me sign off on a document saying it didn't fail this test, when it clearly did, which I'm not down with, so we'll have that conversation later this morning.

Short drive in to work with the update, but other than one issue (return of the XM defaulting radio bug again) everything else was excellent! Car even seemed to ride smoother? Don’t know if that was just my imagination…but the whole experience is so much crisper and clean. Happy to see Lucid keep moving up from here with their software experience!

I just did some quick looks into who the exec in charge of service is. Per the Lucid web page: No one. Marnie Levergood is in charge of quality and customer experience, but is not linked directly to service.

Seems like there would be someone specifically responsible for service. The different experiences at different service centers seems to confirm that there isn't a coordinated process as to the operation of service centers. Interesting....

so i did the power cycle and replaced the fob battery
I tried to see if there was an update on the fob but it's not recognizing the fob even though it works fine for the car
I did update the fob last week

Looks like my update failed during the night. Has anyone else seen this?

I had that happen with 3.3.20, called customer care and they forced the update again to the car about 5-6 hours later and it downloaded successfully

Just got it, but every time I try to install it, it says update failed. No one is in the car and the doors are locked. It's not connected to a charger
I hesitate to post as I don't have a Lucid but do have years of Tesla installs. If updates fail, I'd suggest trying 2 things:

1. Do a full reboot before attempting to install, and

2. Remove any USB drives used for Halo, music, or even charging a device before installing. If it updates you can put them back in.

In Tesla, one or both can alleviate installation issues.

I tried that back then and it won't work- the software team needs to resend it to the car

Thanks. I called customer care and am waiting for them to repush. The car isn’t drivable as the keys and fob don’t work.
