Hello Everyone,
I have an electrician at my house installing the Lucid Connected Home Charging Station. We are having issues removing the front cover of the charging station. The instruction said to remove the two little screws from the bottom, slide up the cover, and pull to you. However, one the cover is slide up, we are unable to get it pull. Anyone have experience with the install?

The electrician is literally there right now? The forum might be a poor venue to ask for advice in the moment.

Slide up and pull hard.

It’s just very hard to pull. Very very tight. Pull with more force.

Thanks Everyone,
We will try pulling it harder tomorrow, I was just afraid to break anything.
I totally hear you. I was terrified I’d crack the face.

Same! Me and my electrician was really worried that we would break it. We had to pull like heck but it worked out.

Echo what the others have said. The cover is pretty tight. I would also just recommend making sure that the connections within the unit are good and secure. Had an issue when my unit was installed where one of the cables wasn't snug and had an issue with the unit not working. Thought it was going to need an entire replacement but ended up being the little connector cable inside.

Good luck with the install and enjoy the fast charging speeds ;)

Thanks Everyone,
I was able to get the Lucid Connected Home Charging Station installed, I hope successfully. I still need to plug the car and see if it charges.

Time of installation: about 5 hours (most spent trying to figure out how to get the hires from one end of my basement to another end of my garage.

Lucid Connected Home Charging Station cost: New from eBay $739 (includes shipping)

Material cost: $550.90

Labor cost: $400 and a lot of sweat equity

I am scheduled to take receipt of my pre-owned 2022 GT with 3442 miles tomorrow. Looking forward to the beginning of my journey.

I appreciate all the help!

For someone reading this at a later date: the cover must slide up, but then the tabs need to be flexed outwards. The tabs have inward-facing notches and the slots they rest in are made in such a way that the only way to get clearance after lifting is to flex the cover outward and then pull. Push in with your thumbs in the center of the cover and pull with your other fingers on the outer edges of the cover. If you do this flexing, it’s very easy to remove…I learned this with quite a bit of trial and error. They really need to improve the installation instructions.
