I wonder how long it takes to charge. And if it comes with free EA charging.

What takes longer to charge? That bus or the Hummer EV? Wake me up in 20 years

What’s the weight of that bus with a 660 kWh battery?

Well, this explains why half the EA chargers on our North Carolina trip were down. This thing was probably sucking up all the power on the eastern seaboard.

Wow that Zenith Red looks great!! Every time I see a picture of one it looks like a slightly different color with the lighting. It took me a few seconds to realize you were talking about the bus since I was admiring the car!

You would think for cost efficiency they would charge the bus at night at the terminal. What is it costing to have the driver sit while day charging?

You'd also think they would want to avoid the mark-up EA charges on the electricity it puts into the vehicle. Or maybe the bus came with three years of free charging? ;)

Interesting article here...essentially testing routes and charging infrastructure.

Yes, it is. I did a little googling on it. 660 kWH battery pack. 3 hours to charge 65% of battery. And 300 miles of range at 55 mph.
wow. 0.45 miles per kW. I don’t think converting the trucking industry to EV can happen with that efficiency.
