Key fob battery; spec and warning

If you need a spare battery fob key in a pinch, it's the same battery that is used in the sunshades to power the little light. If you lower the sunshade you'll see a little panel where you can pull up and you'll find 3 batteries in there
This is super helpful information and should be pinned somewhere!

So they did, in fact, change the vendor for Gravity fobs versus Air fobs. Too bad it doesn’t seem to have helped.

Marquardt made fobs for many of the Mercedes models in the past (maybe still?), so it’s not like they’re some random supplier.
Don't they also supply the software?

Something is really off with Lucid and keys….i just can’t understand why they can’t figure it out the issue and fix it. Get a new supplier or fix the software…..it’s not rocket science, it’s just a key to open the door and drive away….listening Mark? Throw all your resources on thus and fix it ASAP…..

I’ve had 3 Mercedes over past 20 years with keyless FOBs that were all 100% reliable (unless you ignored the low battery warning after 2+ years of battery usage.). So everyone blaming the FOB for open/start issues may be misplaced. The problem is most likely Lucid’s trainwreck implementation of FOB hardware/software suite.

A fob is a small electronic device for access, while FOB is both a racial slur meaning "Fresh Off the Boat" and a common business term meaning Free on Board or Freight on Board.

Sorry, no offense meant. Capitalization was meant for emphasis. So you are like my lawyer brother in law who likes to grammar check all of my texts.

We're online; there's a reasonable chance I am your annoying brother-in law

Acronyms are always in caps. We're in a car forum. No one is talking about anything but cars.

Agreed, just being too pedantic I guess - a key fob isn't an acronym. It's a word.
