It would be nice to see the temperature and fan speed displayed on the cockpit panel to be able to control both with Driver Temperature Controls instead of going to pilot panel.

When I'm in the drivers seat, I set the temp and fan control to my comfort zone before I take off, and turn on the Auto button in the pilot panel. Once I'm moving, I use the piano keys to raise or lower those if I'm hot or cold. It's faster than going back into the pilot panel, and it displays numbers for a second on the cockpit when you're adjusting it.

Just push the temp button up or down...?

Hey Lucid can do this as well.

Gentleman not to be condescending but everything you say is a blinding view of the obvious but it still evolves into too many gestures to such a simple task.

Not to be too condescending, either, but here's my view on temperature.

If I'm cold, I turn the temperature up with the little button above the pilot panel. If I'm warm, I push the same button down.

If there's too much air, I use the button next to that one to turn the fan down. If there's not enough air, I flip it up.

Why would I need or want a number displayed in my view 100% of the time to tell me what my body already knows and what I may want to adjust maybe once or twice per drive?

So you want the display to be there all the time? Seems unnecessary since it comes up when you adjust it, but that's just me!

Am I the only one who sets it and forgets it? I can't tell you the last time I changed my car's temp. It's set to 70 year round. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Maybe. Mine's been on everything from Max Cool 59 when it's hot to 75 when it's cold outside.

So you don’t have to guess what the setting is based on your surrounding environment!
And why do you care what the setting is? Does whether it’s set to 71 or 72 affect your comfort? Or does your comfort define what it should be set to?

For anyone I’ve ever met, it’s the latter.

I promise I’m not trying to be dismissive; I am genuinely curious why this is a desired feature.

Same here, set for 73 on Auto and I never look at it except when I use max cool in the summer because I forgot to turn on the remote climate before getting in the call. Please don't clutter the display with the temperature all the time.

No, you're not the only one. Same for me, and same 70º, too.

Maybe. Mine's been on everything from Max Cool 59 when it's hot to 75 when it's cold outside.

But doesn't the "auto" function kick the system into higher gear when it's very hot, anyway? I'm not sure setting the temperature any lower speeds up anything.

I live in south Florida and often forget to enable the new temp maintenance feature or to use the remote climate control before getting into the car. I haven't formed the habit, probably because the car cools down so quickly when set to "auto".

All the defense about not having it is weird. Basically every car does this. It's pretty normal for people to expect it to be there/want it to be there.

Yes, can press up/down to see where it is. But why not just see where it is without pressing up/down? How many cars have you had that don't display it other than Lucid?

There's a lot of information that is generally present or available to be present on most cars that Lucid doesn't show - hopefully, in time, they add these as configurable options.

We've had our Air almost three years and been driving Honda Odysseys since 2011. I had never thought twice either about the Odyssey displaying the temperature setting constantly or about the Air not doing so. In fact, this thread caused me to go out to the garage to confirm that our Odyssey actually did display the temperature setting because I never pay any attention to it. And I certainly don't miss it in the Air. In fact, given that the Air displays so many other things that the Odyssey doesn't, I'd prefer not to have the additional visual clutter.

Feel like there's a strong divide here with people who have a "procedure" each time the get in/out of their Lucid, versus people who just expect to get in/out of their car and drive.

Was a similar response when discussing that it'd be nice if music would automatically stop when you opened the door. I definitely don't have a checklist of things I do each time I get in the car.

Sure, so, it can be an option. But at the same time, you never even noticed it on the Honda - why do you think you'd notice it as "clutter" on the Air? A lot of it comes down to how well they design it.

This sounds like one of those things that makes Bobby say "must be a really great car if this is what we're complaining about."

The "every other car has it" thing is also weird to me. I don't think I've ever driven a car that had current temperature settings always displayed on the screen, except for a Tesla. Because up until quite recently, the temperature setting in most cars was a physical knob. There might be a tiny little 7-segment display that shows the current setting as a number, or it's just somewhere between "blue" and "red." Why are we acting like this is a law of car design written in stone in ancient times?

I don't care either way, and as usual with things that people have wildly varying opinions on, I'm all for making it an option. But man are there are a lot of things on the wishlist I'd rank above this.
