Scheduled charging has been working well for me, however I had an instance this morning where I needed to disable scheduled charging so I could start a charge there and then.

I was plugged in at the time, and not surprisingly, when I disabled SC , nothing happened, it still just said Cable Connected. I then unplugged and plugged in again, still nothing. I tried resetting the charging limit, no difference.

Ultimately, I enabled SC again and set the time to 2 minutes from now and that got it done.

It bothers me, though, how do you disable SC?

Charging never starts immediately. It can take up to 2 minutes to initiate. Did you wait?

Huh, when you disabled scheduled charging, and unplugged and plugged it back in, it should have started. Maybe needed a reset or sleep for the changes to take effect? An easier way might be just to select start charging from the app (even with scheduled charging enabled) and it should start - at least it does for my car.

Try a car reset.

I have had that issue too. Plugged the car in on the weekend morning to charge the car. It should start automatically. Nothing happens. Just says cable connected in the app. I close the app / open the app, still says cable connected. I go back out to the car unlock, unplug, plug, still nothing. Unlock, turn off scheduled charging . Nothing happens. Finally had to reset the car before it would charge. My one frustration about the Lucid is the issue surrounding charging, especially scheduled charging. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it starts charging when it is supposed wait for 3-4 hours. Sometimes I plug the car in when scheduled charging is not selected and it just says cable connected and won’t charge. Power cycle, rinse and repeat. Doesn’t matter which charger we use either.

My 30k Leaf charges perfectly every night. I plug in and it turns on after midnight and stops when the off-peak ends. With Lucid, I never know if the car will be charged or not and constantly have to check to make sure the app says “charging scheduled” and not “cable connected”

This was it, thank you! I wasn't aware that it could take so long between 'cable connected' and 'charging' states since DCFC sessions don't appear to experience that same level of delay. All good now. I absolutely don't mind the delay now that I know what's going on.

You can usually start a charge in the app even without disabling it. There is/was a button on the charging tab in the app to 'start charge' whenever the car is plugged in

True, but only after it switches states from “Cable Connected” to “Charging Scheduled”

It’s the transition from “cable connected” to the next step that takes a couple minutes sometimes.

Thank you for the reminder, I thought I recalled that as a feature, but don't think it was there when I last checked. I might have been checking the charging screen in the car instead. Will verify when I get back home.
