Thank you. It actually is a helpful reminder that my experience is an exception and that just as I did, negative experiences are more likely to be posted and responded to. The service people have been wonderful, moving the I k up date to ASAP. And, I have a gentle spouse who has known me for nearly 68 years and reminds me that after all my huffing and puffing, this is really an inauthentic worry. I can choose to be annoyed or not. So yeah, I’m still a little annoyed about this inconvenient derailment of my expectation of the universe.
 
I'm interested in leasing a GT but it's kind of odd that the headlights make noise? I found this thread through a google search after watching an Oout of Spec review on the Lucid they were just about to give back. They overall thought it was an excellent car but Kyle commented I won't drive it at night because of the annoying headlight noise.

It's a bit disappointing it was definitly top of my list to replace my expiring lease on an EQS 580.

It's presumably the window switch LEDs, not the headlights themselves. Confirmed by placing a microphone right next to the window switches. I spoke to a Lucid executive at a recent owner event and he was able to put his ear by the window switches in a Gravity and heard it too. Said he'd pass it along internally.

Not the headlights. It's window switch LED light module that lights up the switch at night when headlights are turned on. Some hears it, some don't. Better your hearing, more likely you will hear it. Just go test drive and turn on the headlights on and off and see if yiu hear the noise from the window switch on the door handle. Below is where I posted about trying to get that model changed but didn't fix the issue albeit bit better now. Waiting for hw3 version of the window switch if it ever comes.

That’s encouraging! Here’s hoping there has been a change in the switch design and your car got a mix of old and one new switch…

I’m young and I’ve never heard it… not sure if it was discovered it’s an age thing. @borski have you seen any correlation?

It's definitely a high frequency thing. I can't hear it 🤷‍♂️

I would love to find a Lucid that doesn't have it! Either Air or Gravity - every single one I've sat in has it.

@borski If you're ever incredibly bored, feel free to record audio right by your window switches when their lights are on, do an FFT, see if there's that spike in the power spectrum around 7850 Hz - suspect your brain is just not calibrated for that frequency :)

I don’t know if I want to ruin my car by hearing it - but maybe 🤣
 
I researched a little more, it’s both front and rear passenger side only. So maybe Lucid is aware but only replacing drivers side unless requested 🤷

I asked my service center when I had my CCC upgrade done and they told me there is no fix for this as compared to my 2023 car.
 
I have same issue and Lucid said they cannot do anything. I don't:( have this issue 2months ago and it wont make noise always.
 
If they just let us turn off those window switch lights I’d be happy…
