There's a thread for Air Wraps - I thought it would be interesting to start noodling wraps here in the Gravity side of the forum.

I'm honestly a bit disappointed with the color offerings on Gravity. I like Lunar Titanium best but I am nervous about pushing the already unknown delivery window back even further by another unknown factor. My current order config is for Aurora Green, which is interesting I think but probably not what I would have picked if I had another compelling choice. I know some say it's great, and maybe it will be, but taste is personal. The rest are meh in my opinion; some could be interesting in real life but I wasn't a fan of any of them in the speedforms I saw in the experience center. And since I probably won't get a chance to see all the colors in person before having to commit to a color, I may be stuck having to cross my fingers and hope that the green looks great.

So I'm thinking of getting a wrap. I've never wrapped a car before so I'm new to everything that it entails. Will I see the undercolor when I open doors, trunk, frunk etc? Is that bothersome or does one just get used to it?

I'm also interested to talk colors! I think Gravity would look great in a sapphire-esque color. Maybe that would be cheesy since mine won't actually be a sapphire, but if I do it before they actually make one, I'm not being a poseur, right? I also thought about a matte Zenith red-like color.

Is anyone else thinking of going this route?

IMO Lucid’s lines lend more to a gloss or satin finish than matte. Play with the light and shadow, don’t hide it. That’s just me though. I too want to see Lucids in more vivid colors. Gravity in a satin British racing green sounds gorgeous to me.

I hadn't considered a wrap on a car that I'd expect to lease (at least the optional colors increases the residual) but I do agree with you re disappointing color options. Lunar Titanium is our plan even if it pushes back delivery. My four year old is particularly upset blue isn't an option.

My Model X is clear wrapped. Has been great as you never worry about mini spider scratches in car washes and from road dirt. I'm thinking of doing my Gravity too. Will see if my local fella is set up for doing it when it is close to being delivered.

I was totally seriously going to consider this when I took delivery of mine.

I believe @Denali_Dane intends to wrap his in a vivid green! I think that would look good on a gravity as well.

Time to build a Wishlist Thread:

You can order a Land Rover Defender from the factory with a wrap - so why not a Gravity? (Wishlist One)

The Gravity appeals to me because it’s a Four Seasons vehicle but wouldn’t it be nice if it could be ordered with a pair of TRUE
Driving Lights - the GRAND in Grand Touring - just seems overly optimistic! - (Wishlist Two)

I don't think I would ever drive a Gravity fast enough off-road that the regular high beams wouldn't be enough...

Perhaps I'm a child at heart but I would really prefer a nice, Sapphire-esque (or really any) blue paint to the available options. It would be especially good looking with the tan leather seat option. My current plan is to go with the aurora green, and if I keep it for long enough and it gets scratched up enough, or I save up enough I-don't-need-it money, get it repainted in blue.

I agree that there would ideally be a dark red option as well.

I agree with your toddler

(something I didn't think I'd say today)

Go for an exact match to the Sapphire color for a Gravity wrap. Then drive it back and forth between Newark, CA and Millbrae, or drive it around Casa Grande, AZ and wait for the excited posts to show up here and on Reddit!

But in all seriousness, it's a great color and would look great on a gravity. If there's no Zenith Red option by the time i order my Gravity, I may replicate it with a wrap.

The closest color to the Sapphire is KPMF Excelsior Blue. It’s what I have on my R1S.

I got to see the Lucid Air Sapphire at the KOP Studio and that is a beautiful shade of blue. Maybe a Gravity Sapphire one day?

I wouldn't necessarily call it a commitment, but I think Lucid has said in the past that they plan to make Sapphire versions of all of their vehicles. A Sapphire Gravity will doubtless be too expensive for my taste.

They have never said that, to my knowledge, but I’d love to see a source if you have one.

(They have said that the Sapphire would be essentially a sub brand for their super performance vehicles, but to my knowledge have never said there would be a Sapphire version of *every* vehicle. My suspicion would be the next Sapphire is a midsize. I could be wrong tho!)

My source is this page on Lucid's site: https://lucidmotors.com/stories/introducing-sapphire-pinnacle-electric-performance. The key quote is towards the end:

Additional Sapphire models will be available for all Lucid models moving forward, continuing to set new standards for how luxury performance can look and feel.

Of course, that's from almost three years ago, and their plans could certainly have changed since then.

I stand corrected! I’ve heard rumors otherwise but nothing substantiated; so who knows!
I think it'd be hilarious if they targeted a different kind of performance with each Sapphire model. I'm looking forward to the lifted monster-truck variant of the Gravity. 🤣
