Does anyone know if a Gravity is in Atlanta? Either took delivery or there’s one to see? I ordered a GDE and would just like to see it and maybe sit in as well. I usually like to see and sit in a vehicle before purchasing it, but since 2012 when Tesla came out I started to buy vehicles without even seeing it at times. It probably won’t change my mind on getting the GDE if I don’t see it, but would like the opportunity.

Atlanta does not have a Studio, only the Roswell service center (which you may already know - I see you have an Air). You can take delivery at the Roswell location, but I don't expect they have a Gravity coming any time soon.

I too have a GDE on order in the Atlanta area, but don't know that I'll get to see one (without traveling to a location) before it gets delivered.

I did have an Air GT a year and half or so ago. I traded it in due to the fact they didn’t have a service center back. Only a mobile service, which was slow and unresponsive at that time. Plus, with the Air being so new on the market a lot of things needed to be addressed. Not mechanically but more so alignment and body parts. I heard that’s not the case now.

When I saw the Gravity knew I had to have one, especially after reading and seeing the reviews on YouTube. I thought back then and still do now, that Lucid has the best tech (motor, battery, and space packaging) for EVs. However, they and others need to catch up with Tesla in terms of OS which I know they will get a handle on with OTA.

Oh I went to Miami a couple of weeks ago hoping to see one at the studio they have there, but they didn’t have one. Oh well. I just have to wait.

Question, did they say when your GDE would be delivered?

Nothing has been relayed to me yet. I had a November 7th GT reservation but was a bit slower to jump on the DE once announced... I couldn't (and still really can't) justify the added expense over the GT, but I wanted it sooner than later once the tech delay was announced as my Macan EV is due to be bought back under lemon law in the next several weeks. When I log in it just shows order confirmed, but no other updates.

I ordered mine at the end of April, so you’ll be getting yours way sooner than me. Like you I can’t justify the added cost for the DE over the GT, but with the added horsepower and 0-60 being upper 2s or 3 second flat. I went ahead with it. Coming from a CyberTruck Beast with 2.6 second 0-60 I wanted something to be equivalent to that.

What tech delay?

Latest 0-60 guess is 3.1 for the Dream. Car and Driver estimates 11.2 for 1/4 mile for GT so either should spank the Tesla truck.

The dual motor, but not the CyberBeast. 3.1 is also disappointing when you look at the Rivian Tri-motor with significantly less power and more mass.

You are right, the GT would be 0.2 seconds behind in the 1/4 mile while having more power and 800lb less weight.

Not necessarily. Some people have reported getting VINs assigned within a couple of weeks of placing an order. Order time seems to have nothing to do with it. Nor does current Lucid ownership or order configuration.

I am an original Air Dream owner (which was supposed to confer priority delivery) who ordered a Gravity GT the morning orders opened on November 7 and switched to a DE the day those orders opened on February 26. I ordered a second DE on March 31. Both cars are colors being built (Green/Tahoe and Black/Yosemite) as seen in the factory staging lots and with the 21/22" and the 22/23" wheels, both also being put on current production cars.

It's been over six months since I first ordered. Yet my account dashboard still indicates only "Ordered" for both cars. Nothing others have been reporting here and on other social media -- pre-VINs and VINs being assigned, "In Production" notices on the dashboard, receipt of the sales pro forma, tentative delivery windows being given -- has happened with either of my orders.

Now, I have read somewhere (can’t figure it out where now) that the GDT was getting 3.0 for 0-62. So, if that’s true it should be 2.8 or 2.9 for 0-60. That’s good enough for me. Honestly, I only launched my CyberBeast like 4 times to show off to my friends. The 0-60 is a novelty, but in daily driving doesn’t mean much, at least to me. I still remember when 6 seconds to 0-60 was considered fast. 🤣 As for Rivian, that’s not a good comparison. It’s a tri-motor set up. Even though the horsepower is about the same. Having the third motor helps it put down the power more efficiently and equally. Look at the Air Dream and Air Saphire. The Dream even with 1111 HP couldn’t beat the Tesla Plaid which have about 80 HP less. But when you put the third motor into the equation, almost nothing can beat it. Lastly, I don’t know why anyone would buy a Rivian. IMO it’s one of the ugliest vehicles out there. Of course, I’m the one who bought a CyberTruck, so each to their own.

I was wondering if I could take delivery at that type of location or if I had to go to one of the shops to take delivery in person. I'm in Alabama and Roswell would be a lot closer than Chicago. Do you still get the full walk thru delivery? I know they can bring it to me, but I've heard mixed stories about that experience that makes me not want to mess with it. Plus I wouldn't mind a little road trip to get familiar with it.

Am assuming @fleming23 is referring to the HUD availability...

The Dream even with 1111 HP couldn’t beat the Tesla Plaid which have about 80 HP less.

The Plaid weighs a bit over 500 pounds less than the Air Dream P. It also has considerably wider tires than the Air (265/295mm vs 245/265mm), meaning that Lucid traction control probably cuts power earlier than the Plaid's. So it's no surprise that the Plaid is a tad quicker to 60.

However, as an owner of both an Air Dream P and a 2021 Model S Plaid (which we sold just last week), I found the Air's acceleration continued to build after the point at which the Plaid's began to taper off. (The Air's power was also more accessible, as its front end stayed much better planted than the Plaid's under hard acceleration.)

The Miami service center is on site with the Worldcenter Design Studio. However, I was told our Gravities would be delivered out of the Miami Brickell Design Studio which does not have an on-site service center.

I have, however, requested that our Gravities be delivered to Naples on the other side of the state, which Lucid will do for an additional fee. In fact, they're going to deliver the cars directly to the local shop that is going to PPF wrap them before I put them on the road. However, this means I won't get the orientation session that comes with delivery of the car, something for which Lucid recommended I bring the cars in to a studio once they're road-ready.

Since these are not our first EV's or our first Lucids and I've been poring over all the reviews of the software features I can find, I might skip it altogether.

I figure I'm paying quite enough for the DE, and this being my first Lucid, I want the whole experience 😂
