Gravity [Grand Touring] Reservations Tracker

Placed my order earlier tonight.
Really wanted to wait for a Touring.
I'll get in line now, as suggested by @Gravitas (thank you).
I know myself. I've already decided if my order comes up, I'm paying the extra $15k instead of getting back in line for a Touring.

Placed my order today, because hey why not.

Noticed gravity dream edition language in the terms, although the GDE wasn't an option for me 🤷‍♂️

Interesting that the "Dream" edition isn't as liberal regarding the return of the deposit.

A line is being drawn between deposits for vehicles that are being ordered from existing inventory (refundable for seven days) and vehicles that are to be built to a custom order (not refundable).

The exception is the Gravity Grand Touring deposit which, for some reason, remains refundable up until the time the car actually enters production. Maybe this is to accommodate people who will want to switch orders from the GT to the Touring once Lucid finally reveals the specs and features of that version? In other words, it's a nod to the fact that Lucid's delay in releasing Touring specs has put some buyers in a bind in deciding whether to spring for a Grand Touring or to wait for a Touring.

This suggests to me that Gravity Dreams -- unlike the Gravity Grand Tourings -- might already be moving into the production queue, as all the "Design Yours" Airs -- which are also non-refundable -- get put into the production queue as soon as the order goes in.

Starting a possibly treacherous path, I just went to the website and for my GT configuration, the total added up to $122K.
Did not see the Gravity Dream option.
May as well wait until the Pure comes out.
Did see what hmp10 mentioned above.
Here's the complete paragraph:
"An Order Deposit will be due at the time Your order is placed. For available Lucid Air Pure, Lucid Air Touring and Lucid Air Grand Touring vehicles, the Order Deposit is refundable for seven days from the order date and is nonrefundable after that time. The Order Deposit is nonrefundable from the time of payment for “Design Yours” Lucid Air vehicles, Lucid Air Sapphire vehicles and Lucid Gravity Dream Edition vehicles. For Lucid Gravity Grand Touring vehicles, the Order Deposit is fully refundable up until the time the vehicle enters production;"

The DE option only shows up if you're logged in to your Lucid account and then try to configure a Gravity.

I was logged in. Even paid with my lucid card on file. Still no option. Could it be regional as well? @marqie any thoughts on how DE opportunities are doled out?

to be eligible for the Gravity Dream you need to have one of the following:

1. Order a Gravity GT
2. Own Air Dream or GT P

Gotcha, makes sense since I haven't done either (well now I've ordered the gravity gt, hopefully haven't missed the boat)

I finally bit the bullet and placed my order for a GT. I'd been waffling, wanting to see the Touring specs. But with the discussion about the Touring's range being quite a bit lower, I decided that the GT was the right model for me.

I came here to see if any of the plebes are taking delivery yet. I can't see anyone taking delivery....?

I have an Air, not thinking of a Gravity in the near future. But I am curious.

no matter what you call them, they're not taking deliveries yet.

Apparently in April they will start producing again....

Placed an order last week so I can someday provide feedback data on wait time. We have a 2019 Model X currently so I figure the order will catch up with me by the time we're ready to replace it anyway. I won't complete the purchase without having a test drive first, but I don't think I'm in danger of that being a problem.

I love the X and will definitely miss the doors and the ADAS, although the 90 degree doors on the Gravity look good and I hope DreamDrive will catch up. I hate the Tesla seats, though, and the wind noise is atrocious. And then there's the whole *waves about* Musk... situation. Looking forward to a vehicle that feels more "luxury" for the price.

Haha, while the doors definitely tickled my inner kid cool factor, I hated them for all sorts of practical reasons. I don't deal with child car seats which is probably one of the areas where they might be of a practical benefit, but I have a few friends that ride with me all the time and were actually sort of scared of them and dreaded having to deal with them. I also cursed them any time I needed to access the back seats in my garage where they'd open just enough to give me back pains trying to do what I had to do. :(

Yeah, the main things they have been great for have been:
  • Getting elderly large dogs in and out
  • Camping gear; can get an EZ-UP in the 2nd row footwell; not possible otherwise
  • Car seat; also the kid thinks they are super cool. (Unfortunately he also thinks the CT is super cool.)
My understanding is that the ultrasonic sensors got removed in the refresh so they now hit things all the time, so I'm definitely not interested in replacing with like. We were vaguely planning to keep it for 8 years but are open to a sooner upgrade. The options for luxury 3-row SUVs have been very sparse.

Just put in my order yesterday after going back and forth so long with this and the Escalade, but I finally came to the realization that it was silly to compare the two and either way, the Gravity is the much better option all around. Going to settle in a good long while and watch others get theirs and post reviews while I wait on mine. Hoping to get the chance to eventually test drive one before delivery, but seeing as how there are no Studios within 700 miles or so of me, unless I happen to be in Chicago, Miami or Northern VA (Don’t know why there isnt one in Atlanta or Nashville…), I dont see myself making the trip just for the test drive. Was really impressed with the Air I rented this past summer and need a nice comfy SUV as I’m not as young as I used to be and the Taycan, while an amazing car, is starting to break me down as a daily driver these past 5 years. Looking forward to you all getting your Gravity’s and sharing the experiences!
