I noticed that my online dashboard on 16-Sep-2025 showed my GGT as in production and also had a VIN. I also had a Dream Edition in the dashboard, but decided to have the SA cancel that. They said I would still get a refund, due to my "unique" situation. I actually emailed the SA right away to explain my situation of trying to hedge my bets between the 2 cars. The GGT has all the features including HUD. SA says about 30-45 days to delivery - "maybe sooner"😜. Order for reference:

Agree. Especially because the 22/23 are three season (performance) tires versus the 21/22 A/S. I believe the 21/22 has better real world range given size and tire type, but we shall see.

There’s just no way the 20/21s A/S get 50 more miles of range (386 on 21/22 A/S vs 437 on 20/21 A/S). And yes, I know the 20/21s are Hankook vs Michelin Primacy on 21/22 - not trying to restart the tire discussion.

I think that 386 number is really closer to the 22/23 thee seasons…and Lucid didn’t feel like testing the 21/22…

I think the Pirellis are designated as summer performance tires, meaning they should not be driven in temperatures below 45º F.
 
Any idea how Lucid is deciding what to produce ? I think mine and a bunch of others are "In Production" for sometime now while a lot of similarly configured cars are available as inventory vehicles. Why can't they complete the "In production" cars first ? This seems weird. I checked with my SA and they don't have a valid explanation other than saying "Supply chain bottlenecks". If that is indeed true, how could they complete these inventory cars

They definitely didn't test both. They have exactly the F0,F1, and F2; not possible. This does show that most of the difference is the tires and not aero (F0 term is mostly tires and F2 is aero, which is only 3% different between the two sizes)

Yes, my sales guy said the HUD is available and all those cars are being sold before or on the 30th.

Agree. They are Pirelli PZero summer tires, so 40-ish lowest temperatures and avoid roads in poor condition.

When my SA called to see if I wanted to upgrade to a GDE, one of my concerns was the summer tires, which are unsuitable where I live. I looked online to see if AS tires were made in these wheel sizes, and the answer was, "no." I also asked if they would swap the wheels, and they said no to this (although I have seen others who made this happen somehow). The only reason I was even considering this was the delivery timeline, so I decided to just wait for my GGT as originally specified.

The Dream Editions are available with any of the three tire/wheel options. Our first one has the 21/22" Michelin all-seasons, and our second one has the 22/23" Pirelli summer tires.

The Tech Package (including the HUD) is specified in my in-production GGT. Nevertheless, based on my experience in the demo vehicle in Scottsdale AZ, the HUD is currently pretty much worthless. I've been told there may be a software release that will provide some functionality later this year, but still a "future feature." Hopefully, not like the FSD in my 2017 Model S P100D that remainined a future feature up to the day I traded it in my my Air.

This squares with what Derek Jenkins said in an interview a while back when he was asked whether the 22/23" wheels would have aero blades available. He said no because they made very little difference to range, and the point of the large wheels was performance and looks.

Not what I was told when the GDE was first announced, but I know you got the 21/22 set, as I remember seeing your post when you first got your vehicle. Not a big deal, as it would not have changed my mind about GDE vs waiting for my GGT as we're dead-set on 2 rows (for the storage space) and they would not omit the third row in the GDE.

Yeah, the Lucid website can throw you some curves. If I remember correctly, the Dream Edition was first offered with the choice of 2 or 3 rows, but the choice was quickly removed. Possibly an error in the first place. Same thing with the Mojave interior, which later disappeared. However, I think the option for all three wheels was there from the get-go on the order configurator. But I'm no longer sure.

And the 21/22s DO have the aero blades…who knows.

That's one of the reasons I canceled my Dream Order - that and my GGT with all options including Ojai & HUD is currently in the "Delivery" phase. I was also not interested in more performance, but wanted more range. Oh, and preferred the Platinum look.

I might have ordered a Dream if it could have had 2 rows.
