Gravity Delivery Discussion

The status of our Gravity on the Lucid website dashboard just switched from "In Production" to "Preparing for Delivery"? Does that mean it has arrived at the service center that is going to prep it for delivery?

And when will I receive an invoice and payment instructions?

It was just to test if it all worked so the car was about 75% charged and the battery wasn’t pre-conditioned. Based on that, I was getting about 80kW
How is the HVAC in the Gravity? I’ve reserved a Gravity GT. I fear the HVAC in my Air GT is starting to die. It was the very first generation one so it was always a tad feeble but 99 degrees in New England today seems to be beyond its coping abilities.

Are you getting rid of the Air when you get your Gravity?

It's definitely improved upon in my opinion. You also have a little more leeway to move the vents to direct air at you better.

Yeah I’ll be trading it toward the Gravity. They give you a trade valuation once you get a VIN assigned. I don’t even like SUVs but was so impressed by the Gravity I sat in in Natick that I decided I’d be quite happy with it, especially since those who have gotten a Gravity all agree it drives fantastic and actually is easier to drive than the Air due to rear wheel steering. That plus the space versatility and being able to charge faster and charge on Tesla kind of sealed the deal.

That’s great to hear as in the GT the dashboard edge blocked upward air flow from the front vents.

Hmmm. I was told by my SA that( trade in work) will happen closer to delivery. My car had a VIN late last month and is in production.

We are also in NE and both our Audi and Hyundai struggled to keep up today. After about 20 minutes in the car, it started to reach the desired temp.

Interesting. I’ll have to discuss with my SA.
fwiw my SA was able to get the quote once I had my VIN but then he's holding off on initiating the actual process until we know we're within 21 days of delivery (since the offer would expire). Mine has been labeled as "in production" with a VIN since 5/31.

If you don’t mind me asking what was your quote and what model/mileage is your Air you’re trading?

I would assume that means the car has arrived at the service center. For context, my SA told me that my car left the factory yesterday and is en route, and my dashboard still shows "In Production".

SA called to tell me they didn't have a build slot for my configuration white 20/21. Was offered a GDE that was available that did not have the technology package. No thanks- I want my future mobile to be future proof.

All GDE’s have the tech package. The model is fully loaded. The GGT’s are currently being offered to people without the tech package per my understanding.

How dare they offer me a peasant mobile! JK
Thanks for clarifying- I waited for 2 years for AA, I can wait a little longer to fulfill my dream.

Yes, it must have arrived at the service center.

I got a message late last week that the car was in transit, and during that time the latest software update was showing as 3.1.7. In the last few hours the software updated to 3.2.0, and I'm pretty sure no download was done during transit.

But I've still received no invoice or payment instructions from Lucid, despite having asked last week. I plan to wire cash, but it can take a day or two for such transfers to land.

Same here. My GDE went into production on 2 May (and is still showing 'In Production' on the Lucid site). I told my SA I'd be trading my Tesla Model X Plaid, and he said we'd work that out "closer to delivery".
