Gravity Delivery Discussion

I don’t know if it’s reasonable to extrapolate future lead times based on what people receiving deliveries now have experienced. Clearly there have been constraints starting the line, but maybe those have cleared now. On the other hand, new issues may arise from here. The only thing we *know* is that the line hasn’t been operating in a steady state to date, so the sample size we have is not only small but unrepresentative of anything. And the near future may get closer to steady state, or could ????

Brings a tear to my eye…… unlike EA, worked on first attempt!! Seamless plug n charge experience

I’d like to know if Gravity owners can immediately charge at NACS superchargers ? Or do they need to wait like Air owners for the ability?
I have charged my Gravity DE once so far at the Tesla SC in Tucson AZ. Thursday we leave for the Bay Area and we are planning on using Tesla SC's exclusively.

Wish I liked Tesla lols. But the tech is cool. Glad it worked out, what charging speed do you see?
It was just to test if it all worked so the car was about 75% charged and the battery wasn’t pre-conditioned. Based on that, I was getting about 80kW

I’m going to try again tonight. My SA says the software team fixed my problem. Fingers crossed.

Check the “Service Summary” in your Lucid App. If you see this then you’ll be good to go

Is Plug & Charge compatible with having a Supercharger membership, which gives lower per kWh rates?

Similar to EA, not yet. I believe Lucid is looking at offering those rates sometime this year.

Advice?

I ordered a Gravity GT on the morning of day 1 - November 7. By chance I chose options that should have ensured a speedy delivery - green, no tech package. I have received one call from my sales associate in early March asking if I would upgrade to bigger wheels (less range for more money is not, for me, attractive so that was an easy no). I did a test drive which was amazing, but no one at the studio was willing to offer any timeline details. Since March I've reached out to my sales associate via email (no response), and phone (won't pick up), probably 5 times. My order is still just at the confirmed stage.

I doesn't look like any regular customers have cars yet but for various reasons this fall is my deadline for a bigger car so it's a Gravity or we just throw our toys and get a cheap and generic ICE 3 row vehicle. I'm a little disappointed to see not only that deliveries seem to be so far behind schedule but also that for some reason we are nowhere near the front of the queue. Is there an alternative way to get in touch with Lucid and find your personal timeline?
Before you go ICE, take a look at the Kia EV9. Pretty sweet for the price.

I’ve always wired money last minute. Ever since my first Tesla in early 2013 when I wired the day before “delivery” and got the car 17 days later….that’s not a small float on six figures. If you’re financing, that makes it even tougher.

Regardless, I’d advise not wiring until you know 100% you’re taking delivery on the Gravity the next day, etc.
I'll be handing them a certified bank check day of delivery. I'm not handing anyone $100k+ without a car in hand that day. That's what I did with my Tesla X.
