That kinda fits for me at the Denver showroom too. They were nice enough, and the communication leading up to delivery day was OK. I didn't feel the need for a lot of hand-holding, and I didn't get it, so that worked out I guess.Every single person we've met or dealt with at Lucid have been nice and extremely pleasant to interact with but their apparent lack of any kind of organization from the top down in the company really shows.
I was in the store for less than an hour to pick up the car. But I had already wired the money from my credit union the day before, so payment was already taken care of, along with the purchase agreement the day before that via Docusign. In the store there were a half dozen more forms to sign on his laptop, and one physical form. Then he walked us thru the back stairs down to the lower level of the parking garage where they had 6-7 cars parked (that I saw), plugged in. He walked us around ours, handed me the keys, small talk for a couple of minutes, then off we went. No car setup at all. Which was OK by me since I prefer to do all that stuff when I get the car home. But it wasn't even offered. Surprised me. Just "Here's the keys and the number for Lucid Customer Care".
Again, they were nice enough, and not rushed or dismissive. I'm sure they'd have tried to answer any questions we had, or helped us set up profiles if we'd asked. But they didn't launch into it as I expected they would. They were modestly busy that day, but not swamped. It did all feel, well, like a startup company that hasn't done this much yet and was still kinda figuring it out. Which it is.
