Gravity Delivery Discussion

The timing of the embargo release -- seems like it will be right around Tax Day -- makes a helluva lot of sense to me. With all of the chaos in financial markets right now and folks knowing what their taxes look like (with many getting refunds), I am thinking that this bodes well for a surge of Gravity orders. I base this on when I was the CEO of a high-end guitar manufacturer whose instruments were in the "luxury" category. Whenever bad things happened in the world around us (e.g. financial crises, war, COVID, etc.), our sales went way up. Originally this baffled me, but over time as I inquired with our customers as to why, the answer that coalesced was (paraphrasing) "we live in a crazy world that I cannot control. I am fortunate enough to be able to use my money to buy something that brings me joy."

For sure no one "needs" a $100k+ SUV -- it is clearly a luxury item. We will see if the paradoxical crisis demand surge experienced at my former guitar company plays out for Lucid. I am betting because of the timing of the media embargo release, tax day AND the crisis in financial markets that it will. We'll see!

Not to be a David Downer (Debbie's bro), but the Titanic also sank on April 15. And yet me Mum's birthday was also April 15, so ... .

Just release it. Our off topic conversations about tv shows are because we're like a waiting room full of expectant fathers who have seen the first child born and the second one is overdue. Maybe a better analogy would be we're in the desert and the fountain is just a trickle, not flowing and we have our canteens ready.

One thing I know we can all agree on, it's about darn time for these things to be rolling out to customers AND to be getting the media's reactions to them!!!

On the "InsideEVs" podcast this morning, Tom Moloughney said he requested to do a charge test before the press test drives that are going on this week. He said Lucid at first refused but then relented and allowed him and Kyle Conner to do charge tests a week prior. Moloughney said he decided not to go back out for the test drives this week but thought Kyle Conner did. However, a chiron then popped up on the screen from Jordan Schiefer, Conner's sidekick, saying that "Out of Spec" was not at the test drives this week as there was no room for them.

So, I wonder who we're going to hear from first with test drive impressions? I'm really hoping for "Hagerty" in the person of Jason Cammisa and the "Throttle House" duo to be among the first out of the gate.

My guess is they filmed something during their charging availability because they kept alluding to not being able to comment about the driving in that charging video.

Maybe, but it seemed to me that Jordan Schiefer's interjection on the podcast implied that OOS wanted to be there this week.

When tariffs sand inflation go up, there is also the risk that prices will go up in the future, so buying something “now” might be better than waiting.

The three Gravity videos "Out of Spec Motoring" has posted in the past five days have a total run time of 4 hours, 23 minutes, and 15 seconds.

And Conner says they will soon be posting their test drive.

The 8-episode 2016 epic miniseries of "War and Peace" had a six-hour twenty-minute run time.

No worries. I have every confidence Conner will get there.
They might as well turn it into a proper episodic series:)

Absolutely!
That's why the hint from @AirDoll of a new thread title that references a certain Lizzo song is so good. ADT and I don't mean the security company! 😀

tit for tat... I see and fair.

'Source of Truth' - confirmed.
Whoa, just went into security lingo there.
