Gravity Bugs / Issues

Similar to @torvald27, but I have Meraki WAPs and am using the client info to monitor.

Still seems like a lot of data compared to our Rivian and Tesla which are barely active. I don’t especially care but I am curious about the discrepancy.
You using DD a lot? I tend to see larger chunks of data being uploaded when I’ve been using DD.

Hmmm. Good question. I did use a bunch of DD yesterday and today.

Mentioned this a while ago, my latest:

Seems to correspond with DD use and with weird car behavior as mentioned before, like when windoz is being unresponsive when doing things in the supposed background.

Wow. I mean, this is JUST the last two hours for me when the car has just been sitting and I haven’t driven it in 4+ hours. Anyone know if there’s a way to see what data is being transferred? It’s a lot. Again, I don’t care, but am curious.

I don’t know if this is a bug or an actual service issue, but this “Drive System Needs Service” alert has been persistent all day during my 200 mile drive. I seem to get other alerts mostly after charging to 100% for a long drive. In any case, I scheduled a service visit in a couple of days. The alert pops up as soon as I put it into drive.

what was your resolution for this? I just started seeing it today.
(sorry if you said, but I didn't find it)

I'm guessing it's not a coincidence that I just got it back from service in the last two weeks where they looked at the drive units and wheels for bearing issues because of a left-turn droning noise. they replaced the wheel bearings on one side (and they should have done both IMO, as the noise still persists at a lower volume level).

This is exactly why mine is in service right now. No resolution yet as they haven't even looked at it after 2 weeks.

in for anything else or just that?

I'll be plenty annoyed if it's something service did or forgot to reset before they gave it back. Maybe I'll see if mobile service can come out first and run a diagnostic or something. I'll be watching to see what they do with yours; thanks for being a guinea pig. :)

yeah, the whole drop the car off without anyone even looking at it for 2-3 weeks is getting tired. I've mentioned this before but I've never had service like that from my ICE dealers, where it's always looked at the same day it was brought in.

Mostly just that. I had a few tiny scratches at delivery they were going to look at too. It's been just sitting in a parking space for two weeks. I got excited because it moved from a space to an open area near the roll up door for the service area this weekend but then it went right back to a different parking space where it's sat since then. I haven't heard from service in a week now even though I texted asking for an update on Friday because I was told they should be able to at least look at/diagnose it by the end of last week.

I did the lcation snooping too. I could tell when it was finally moved to a work bay from the parking lot. :)

Not sure you saw one of my other posts about my service. My original advisor was caught in the recent layoffs and so I was in limbo, where no one would answer my texts (but I had no idea why). It wasn't until the techs signed off on the vehicle that it was ready that it was apparently shifted to a new advisor and then they contacted me.

Yeah, I've been doing live view to see where it is lol.

I know my advisor is still there as I dropped it off after the layoffs, he's just not responding to me anymore and the last update I got from him was the one a week ago today saying they were trying to have someone look at it that week.

Edit: amusingly I opened the app to see if it was in the same place as this morning and it was moving 1mph.

I didn’t realize service folks were laid off. That makes no sense to me given how overwhelmed service seems to be…

I’m at day 33 or 34 now, overdue for the 3rd time, they just don’t have the people and obviously it’s not a priority for Lucid since they are laying service off. I keep cool because the morale there must be absolutely abysmal.

Not at all the service centers, but yes. I was surprised too.

PSA. Looks like there is a campaign to inspect both exterior D-pillar appliques to ensure they are properly secured. Had a mobile visit for my headliner falling off and technician mentioned that they’re now checking every gravity for this potential issue.

Correction - LH D-pillar appliques trim has an excessive gap of 4.5mm and the weather seal has a gap of 1mm. This will need to be replaced during future repair.

Is that where the “Gravity” wording is? Someone else mentioned Lucid was checking there as some were falling off…

Yes. There is a service bulletin and anytime you have a service, they're going to look at that and repair if necessary. My December delivery was checked recently and was fine.

This is a really tiny annoyance (and it might only apply to the 5-seat version), but while I LOVE that they put in those spring flaps to hold the rear cargo floor up when loading, I wish they had only done one side. It's not heavy so one side should hold it, and it's just slightly annoying to have to use both hands to release both sides at the same time. I often have groceries in one hand that I took out, then need to lower the flap. But I need both hands to do it. So I end up having to release both sides before I have the last item out of cargo hole, and have to hold it up with my elbow (or set it on the ground outside the car).

That hole is great for carrying groceries.

Tiny thing, but still. I don't want to really mess up the mechanism with a glue gun or something, but I might try to seal one flap in with a wedge or tape or something.

I stuck a piece of gaffer tape over one side as I have the same problem when loading/unloading my camera gear.

yep, it's on their checklist when cars come in. they looked at mine a couple weeks ago.

Yep. That campaign has been in existence for at least a month. Mine were checked a month ago, during a mobile visit. I posted about it in this thread on Feb. 19th.
