Gravity Bugs / Issues

Looks like a bug and this would be good to report to [email protected].

What did your range display show for dynamic range and efficiency? I always cross check navigation with back of the envelope calculations based on remaining battery and range. Make sure worst-case dynamic range (adjusting for elevation gain) is always less than the distance to a charging station.
Certainly going to email this to them, along with my other 20 emails lol
My range was in the low 3.0Xs range. I don't remember exactly but it was typical. It definitely was NOT 9 mpkw lol

Here is a new one, abit concerning and very unexpected. I'm not really sure what to make of it. See attached picture and see if any of the math the navigation is telling me makes sense to you all. Mind you this was after 20 minutes of driving. I really thought it would re calculate after a minute but it never did until after we charged. We were heading across the state right though the middle of the Ocala National Forest, had I not been paying attention we could have very easy been stuck tonight. Or more accurately, had I trusted navigation and not realized I could not possibly go 80 miles on 9kw of battery...
It's almost like that should be saying negative 11%
Thoughts??
Was there a charging stop automatically added in? The nav will add stops when needed, even if it's not the charger you want. You can manually delete them.

No. After we drove about 20 minutes I manually entered a charge stop

Maybe remove the case and ensure its in the correct spot?
Otherwise, service has replaced a lot of other ppl's center consoles....jus' sayin'
Just trying to avoid scheduling a service call :-(

It’s the end of January…where’s the supposed game changing update…

I think we have all experienced what happens when a deadline is met instead of a goal achieved. I'm happy to wait...

Getting it right/getting it on time; nice when it happens, but mutual exclusivity is always lurking.

I was under the impression that the January update was just bug fixes and the March update would be much bigger. Hope they get Terrain/Camp mode out in March.

As Wimpy once said, "I'll gladly give you camp mode in March, for a working PAAK today"...
Have you seen the issues Rivian is having with it? It’s not functioning flawlessly and given Lucid’s woes with keys I don’t think they’ll release PAAK if it’s not dialed in properly. It would be humiliating for them to have yet another key failure do the rounds online.

Sounds like the UWB stuff is still very much a WIP.

In one interview he said end of January at first, then corrected himself and said by end of 1Q. I think he remembered that January was almost gone.

I didn't get my hopes up for January when I heard that.

What issues is Rivian having? I had an R1T and S from Dec 2022 till June 2025 and never had an issue with PAAK in either. I would hope it wouldn’t be difficult for Lucid to do PAAK. And even if Lucid said it works flawlessly I unfortunately wouldn’t trust it right off the bat with all the key fob issues and key card issues I’ve had.

Tesla does PAAK and, trust me, if Polestar can do it, it can’t be rocket science.

BUT, I understand it’s a feature and I am a big fan of Lucid spending resources taking the bugs out of power window operations, HVAC, etc.

I was asking for PAAK before camp mode, but I was just being selfish - I’d use PAAK everyday and camp mode - well, um, never…

Apple Digital Key which is what Lucid is implementing for the Gravity

Well, for the first time my Gravity had a black screen on getting in, twice in one day. We were leaving in the early afternoon for an event and the top screen was black when we were trying to leave which required us to exit and wait for the car to sleep before getting back in. We went to one place for a few hours, left and went to another place for a few hours and then when we were leaving there it did the exact same thing again.

When leaving home I tried to do a reset first and that didn't fix it. The second time a reset did fix it.

I can't complain too much at this point, we've had it over a month and this was the first time it did this and the first time I've really encountered anything that wasn't just a minor quirk.

Hard reset? or walk away soft reset? If a hard reset, how long did you have to hold the reboot buttons before the Gravity actually rebooted?

There are three different types of reset (owner's manual page 196):

Sleep/vehicle power cycle - when you walk far enough away from the locked car for a few minutes.
Screen Restart/Soft Reboot - pressing the brake and then holding X/mic for 10-15 seconds until you hear a chime (and see a message if the screen is actually working).
Forced Restart/Hard Reboot - pressing the brake and then holding X/mic for about 20-25 seconds to get a single chime and then wait for a double chime.

In my case I tried the soft reboot first which restarted the screens but only the pilot panel was active so I got out and walked away to let it power cycle. The second time it happened a soft reboot fixed it.
