The car has been through multiple sleep cycles since this issue returned three nights ago, the software has been rebooted manually, turning the whole "Vibes" feature off -- which still leaves the errant strip lit up all by its lonesome. It's annoying as hell to sit in this car at night.

I notified [email protected] two days ago with no response back from either them or the Service Center. Back on December 16 I was at the Service Center when they got someone from Lucid HQ on the phone and asked to set up a case to bring the car in to get to the bottom of the numerous continuing software and hardware issues with this car . . . and I've heard zip back. Our mobile tech has also observed and photographed some of the problems and submitted work requests, also with no response back from Lucid.

I am beginning to lose patience with Lucid. Yeah, their service network is swamped, but they brought this on themselves by putting these cars on the road before they were ready. In over six months of owning this particular Gravity, I honestly cannot remember a single outing in it without at least one feature malfunctioning. For the first few months, I assumed Lucid would get most of this addressed through a combination of software updates and investigation of the unusual level of problems with this particular car. I have now lost faith that this will happen unless I figure out some kind of warpath to get on.

The only thing keeping me from starting lemon law proceedings about this car at this point is the almost $20K I have put into it for PPF and radar/laser installation. I'd rather get it fixed, but I'm not going to drive it for the next several years with it behaving like this.

Your vehicle has hardware issues. It is not going to be fixed with software.

I agree -- this looks like issues addressing the LED strip (probably a damaged connector) and will require a service visit. They can diagnose this at the SC -- that's how they sorted out our accent lighting glitch.
 
We haven't talked about this issue since September, so I'm going to bump it back up....

I have the same issue. but to me, the massage rollers were still on. if car is not moving, I can hear the rollers twirling inside, and the graphics in the pilot screen shows it's ON, and once in a while, I can feel a slight protrusion from one of the rollers (usually on my left lumbar), so it's on and running, just no longer actually massage. Sounds like a software bug that can be fixed. I have it running/working for as long as 45mins to an hour during some drives. Sometimes it stops shorter.

On our 3500 mile road trip I can confirm this exact behavior (again) for both the driver and front passenger seats, on 3.3.20. Back in September I speculated it might be some odd overheat protection, but it's hard to make a case for that.

After a long period of time, the rolling-style massage modes always stop. They're still on, but nothing happens. Every 5 minutes or so the left middle "knob" give a little bump like it's saying "I'm still here!" but otherwise there's nothing.

Has anyone reported this to service? Have you gotten a response? In a world of weird Gravity glitches, this remains one of the weirdest...

I contacted Lucid Customer Care and then also texted the SC myself, including photos. They texted back that they would send a mobile tech. I texted back that a mobile tech was here the day after the problem started. I had shown him photos of what it was doing, and he said he was going to initiate a service ticket. I've heard nothing back from anyone since.

Last night, after three nights of the malfunction, it rectified itself . . . sort of. All the LED strips lit up upon entry. When I put the car in gear, the dashboard strip turned off except for that foot-long strip. But after a few seconds it finally turned off, too. But somehow the rest of the accent lighting had set itself to blue, a color I have never selected (as it's kind of gross with the Tahoe interior).

So . . . software? Hardware? Or both?

The root is a hardware issue but what you are observing is the software reacting incorrectly to the inputs it is receiving.

Geez man. Like I said before, Lucid should honor you as their MVC (Most Valuable Customer).
I really lucked out with my GGT (manufactured in early November 2025).
Most of the issues talked about here, I've never experienced (yet).

Besides a misaligned Frunk (pending service appt), and Ambient Lighting occasionally switching colors, my Gravity has been perfect.

In fact, when trying out DreamDrive a few days ago, it was really cool experiencing how effortlessly the Gravity used "Active Curve Speed Control" to slow down from 65mph to ~57/58mph while going through a curve, and then gradually picked up speed back to 65mph on the straight.
 
OK, so just pause for a second and reflect on the nature of the comments on this thread. The situation truly has been improving. While there are still important issues that need attention—DreamDrive among them—it’s worth remembering that earlier concerns included fundamental problems like doors not opening or the vehicle not starting.
Now the posts are about lighting, seat massagers, Homelink is erratic, etc.
I'm not minimizing those concerns but appreciate what an amazing vehicle this is and let's hope Lucid continues with regular software updates!

Might try a priest next!
 
Is it just me or does the ambient lighting preference not stick? It keep changing it to the red theme. But every time I get into the car again it resets to white at high brightness

Also my steering wheel setting does not stick for some reason also
 
Anyone else having the ride height going into lowest when parking the vehicle? Very annoying with it being so low and hitting the curb getting in and out

This happens to me too. I like purple but it keeps resetting to white.

Your solution is likely in this menu.
Perfect for avoiding high curbs. These are my settings:
  • Easy Entry & Exit → ON
  • Vehicle Height → HIGHEST
  • Driver Seat Adjustment → OFF

Thank you I will try this, although easy entry & exit has always been off. Seems to just jump to lowest for some reason on park. Will toggle and see if that fixes it.
