That stinks, yeah it’s time for service to investigate then, as you’ve done all the normal troubleshooting.
 
So, another software bug. My keyboard in the navigation menu seems to be in Spanish (see space bar). I’ve also seen it appear in German.

A new wrinkly tonight:

As I posted earlier, our Gravity now defaults to Sirius almost every time we start the car, although we almost never listen to Sirius.

Tonight we were streaming from Tidal on the way to dinner. When we got back in the car we found ourselves listening to a news interview and knew it had again defaulted to Sirius. But when I went into the audio menu to switch, the screen was showing that we were in Tidal and listening to Noah Reid (a Canadian singer/singwriter) -- even though the news interview was continuing. I hit the Tidal prompt several times but got no response. I finally had to pick another album showing on the Tidal screen to get Tidal going again.

Obviously beta testing new educational software. They're trying to load every bale of straw they can think of onto this camel's back. (They'll prop it up with splints when they can get around to it.)

We don’t use Sirius and our audio doesn’t revert to something different than when we got out of car. But…we do have the issue where we sometimes choose Spotify but it doesn’t change and Tidal keeps playing or vice versa and we have to change to something random (like TuneIn) and then back to what we want. It can take a try or two. It does change, so we’ve not really been upset - it’s a lesser bug considering we still get “key not detected”…

My Air does this. It will say it’s playing CarPlay but it’s really Sirius

Does the album artwork disappear half the time on the Gravity? On the air during CarPlay it shows the art on the cockpit screen but then it goes off after a while.

The Gravity is flaky at displaying album art in the cockpit for Tidal, it will cut in and out or be cut off or not appear at all sometimes.

What happens if you pause what's playing on Tidal before leaving the car? Are you able to resume playing the same song when you return?

Although, the car powering down on locking should serve as a pause to Tidal.

I'll have to try what you do. I always pause the song before I get out of the car

For mine, it doesn't matter if I pause it or not. Radio will still play from Sirius on re-entry. Often the display will still show Tidal or Bluetooth or whatever I was playing last, even the song I was listening to, but the audio is definitely coming from Sirius. If I don't change the input back to Tidal or Bluetooth and just leave it on Sirius and turn the car off like that and come back later, then the display will switch entirely to Sirius. It's all weird but I've just gotten used to the silliness of it all. Takes me all of two seconds to switch back to my preferred audio source and get on driving. So it's no big deal for me.

What I don't understand is why this never happened until I signed up for the Sirius 3-month trial. If we were last listening to Spotify, that is what the car started streaming when we got back in. Ditto with Tidal. But by signing up for Sirius, it seems to have become the default music source. It happens only in the newer Gravity for which I signed up for the trial period. It does not happen in the first Gravity, for which I never signed up with Sirius.

And it does annoy me, because it's one more thing we have to slog through upon start-up, along with waiting for the right-side and lower screens to come up, for the random error messages to clear, for the desired profile to load (which you have to punch in, as facial recognition is not yet working), and punching up the Homelink menu (because geofencing only works when approaching the garage, not when leaving the garage as it does in our Air). And all this is assuming the driver seat hasn't gone into full recline, as it occasionally does.

It's the most aggravating rigamarole I've ever had to endure in getting underway in a car . . . unless the car battery is dead.

I'd like to see some assurance from Lucid that they didn't agree to make Sirius the default audio source for Sirius' marketing purposes. And if this continues, I'm certainly not going to sign up for Sirius upon expiration of the trial period.

Sounds like Sirius is serious 😀 about users listening to their content.

Per a suggestion from customer support, I connected the car to my phone’s hotspot while I was away from home WiFi and so far that has unstuck it from being Offline (even after I turn the hotspot off) whereas just putting it back on WiFi at home would only fix it while it was still connected to WiFi.

We’ll see how long this lasts but maybe the trick is to connect it to some alternate WiFi network if it gets stuck Offline when it’s not on home WiFi.

I was turning left/right searching for parking in an almost-full multi-storey parking lot.
I made many turns but it refused to cancel. After about 10 minutes it went away.

Definitely a SW bug.

Also ran into another bug - the backseat temperature control screen sometimes shows Celsius and sometimes Fahrenheit.

Following up to my own post with an interesting update.

Someone from Lucid monitors these forums. They contacted me and asked me for VIN and more details,
so that Lucid SW team can investigate this. Good!

Have you assigned your fobs and cards to a profile? It should just load it based on that.

I can pretty much guarantee you that isn’t the case.
