Gravity Bugs / Issues

In the end, it doesn't matter what the forum people say, it's how Lucid will make it right to you.
Spot on. I appreciate the forum contributors as frustrated as I come across, I know folks are just trying to be supportive. I did learn something really useful here about when the media apps drop you can switch to the guest profile and back and they all show back up.:)

Be honest with yourself and it's ok if you're not one.
Good intentions on this forum as we coexist.

Is everyone else having the connectivity issue where you have to either switch profiles or reboot to get the radio apps/stored stations to reappear and work after the car is parked/goes to sleep? Of course, I showed this to the mobile service techs when they were at my house yesterday to install Homelink (yes, it's now working)....and of course, they had just installed the software update and rebooted the car so they didn't witness it...and they marked it on the post visit Docusign as "operating as expected"...which was not helpful for keeping that on Lucid's radar.

It’s a known issue and hopefully will be rectified in the next OTA

That's what I was assuming...I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something isolated to mine. Looking forward to getting this ironed out as this is really the only software quirk I have. Knock on wood!

While I’m not trying to get out any pitch forks or rile up a mob, given the increasing frequency of some of these bugs I’ve made a small working list of things to test and if my Gravity DE when it is ready doesn’t prove they work consistently I may reject delivery.
Just curious; does the delivery advisor state the option of delivery rejection exists, is it in the documentation before signing, or what?
I see from posts like the one below that the option of a replacement exists in addition to having the original fixed.

Things I added to the list today to investigate when I do a service:
- The brake light bar lens cover is not fully secured at the ends where it wraps around the liftgate, so it flexes in and out. Not a functional issue.
- The third row seats can catch the liftgate latch trim and pull it free from under the liftgate seal, which is a pain to get re-installed. Overall the third-row seat mechanism does not feel very robust, but this was the case with the showroom cars and not unique to me.
- One of the plastic covers on the cargo net loop attachments was popped off; it snapped back in place but doesn't feel very secure.

Have you washed the car yet? I’m curious if there’s any evidence of water ingress underneath the brake light bar.

Does anyone else find the spoiler on the liftgate to be, for lack of a better word, squishy? If I press on the top of the liftgate the door itself doesn't move, but there's about 1cm of flex in the spoiler. I can't tell if this is intentional or not.
Same. I brought this up with the SA during delivery. He put a note on his laptop for the techs to check if this is within spec when I do bring it in for service. I also find mid section of the spoiler not aligned with the left/right section, there's a slight dent to the alignment, but the dent is equal on both sides. I noticed the same with the other Gravitys / ies (covering my plural bases) at the service center. A co-worker noticed same thing and ask if it was an active spoiler.

I have gotten the key fob not regcognized issue. Did a 4th weekend roadtrip. Then charged and parked car for 4 days. and this morning, when trying to leave for work. Get the dreaded key fob not found, wake it up, jingle etc. nada. it does lock/unlock and everything else. frunk/trunk, etc. So battery is good. Try placing it in the key holder, no go. have to go get the NFC card for today. came home, same issue, does not recognized fob as present at all, but the open/close buttons continue to work.
Will wait and try again tonight, or wait till tomorrow. I'll just use the NFC card for now.

This is my exact experience as well. Had a new one tonight leaving a restaurant. Wouldn’t go into reverse, tried the usual things and finally got to reverse only to have all the cameras down.

I asked the service guy about the same thing as well...and told him that basically every other Gravity I'd seen pictures of was the same way so I wasn't sure if that's how it's supposed to be or not. I'll let you know what I find out.

No, but it rained a bunch yesterday, and I park outside (gasp!). I didn't notice any water ingress, but there's something that looked a bit like dried glue. I'll take a picture tomorrow.

A picture is worth a thousand words... This is iThinkEv's car from a prior post ...my spoiler has the exact same alignment. I've also seen others that look the same.
