Gravity Bugs / Issues

...The first time she is out on her own in the Gravity and it refuses to open or start because she only brought the fob and not the key card backup, she is going to give me holy hell.
The key cards are just another credit card. Best to put one in your wallet/bag/purse when you pick up the vehicle and just leave it there. No more worry.

Agreed that this is not doom and gloom (for now). But considering the key issues have been such a cluster f—- for the Air, you would think that Lucid would have made a major effort to avoid that situation again with Gravity. Hopefully this is all resolved in the next month or two. But if these keyless entry issues continue on for 6+ months, you might see some bad press and pull back from initial demand.
I also worry that if this key issue continues in the Gravity, it may show that the problem is not which key system is being used but rather how Lucid is implementing that system into their cars.

Believe me, I really want the Gravity and Lucid to succeed. I have a GGT on order and very much look forward to getting it. But my wife is a little unsure about replacing our perfectly reliable Mercedes with an EV. The first time she is out on her own in the Gravity and it refuses to open or start because she only brought the fob and not the key card backup, she is going to give me holy hell.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I'm an engineer, and I'm happy enough to roll with the punches when it comes to the teething problems Lucid vehicles may have. But my wife is a different story. She's likely to be unwilling to carry a backup key in case the main key doesn't work. Particularly since spending more than $100K on a vehicle is not something she would ever do. My order is a GGT with HUD, and I'll be hoping that people on the forums report these problems being pretty well worked out by the time I could lay hands on a Gravity.

She’s unlikely to want to put a nfc card in her wallet? That’s all the backup you would need. Honestly? I don’t even do that anymore with my air, and am in Arkansas with only the mobile key and is working great.

As one husband to another, hopefully you've done a good job of assessing your wife's expectations.
Unreasonable expectations is one of the main ingredients in the holy hell meal (served with heat set on high).

She's "opinionated" about technology that doesn't work seamlessly. As I'm the IT consultant for all technology in our home, I have to cope with her ranting about this sort of thing on a semi-regular basis.

Praying for you fellow member of the husband club.
Hopefully she hates the look of the EVs that cost less. :)

Also pictures of my DE after PPF, Ceramic Coating and Window Tints!

I had an issue where it kept saying sensors blocked after getting PPF + rest (Deep Reflections), the blind spot cameras and multiple other features stopped working for about half an hour
I called Alejandro and he said do a car reset, so after doing a "soft reset", click lock twice and walk away the warnings went away after driving about 15-20 miles!

My DE is Aurora Green, Tahoe, 21 / 22 mid size

Charging at Tesla Supercharger was absolutely seamless, my first time visiting one and first EV
Congrats on the GDE.

I was at Deep Reflections last Friday picking up my Air. Alejandro is great BTW. Wondering if that's your Gravity that I saw there.

Fortunately Lucid eliminated the biggest hurdle with EV adoption by including native NACS with Tesla access. I am excited to hear that Plug-n-charge is working great with Gravity on Tesla Superchargers. I live in Texas, the land of Bucee’s. Now, if she wants to roadtrip to Austin or San Antonio, just swing in to a Bucee’s along the way, plug in to one of the 20+ chargers they will have, take a quick bathroom break and grab some jerky and a drink, unplug and head on. No need to route plan, no being routed to the back of a sketchy grocery store and required to access a special app on your phone, no worry of full or inoperable chargers.

I've used Tesla's superchargers 5 or 6 times now. A) planty of spots to choose from B) It just works every time! Got 220kW yesterday which is near Lucid's promised 225kW on 500V chargers.

Sooo much better than the existing CCS network.

Sad that I’ll take a slower charging speed for pure reliability of the network than attempt even going to EA. I’ve literally filtered all the chargers out of the navigation except for Tesla.

Don’t be sad.
Many of the 20,000 Air owners would be glad to trade places with you and the other 90 Gravity owners so that we could have a 50kW fall back option.

Well hopefully it comes to Air sooner rather than later. 50kW is slow but I guess like you said, if you’re in a bind, it’s better than nothing.

Everyone new car from the ground up will have problems but small things are not really a big deal like key fob and easy entry

I remember Mercedes has extremely major battery problem and they could not even tell what is the issue last year causing the car to set in fire.

Their recommendation is to park the car outside and do not fully charge it

I know lucid is not perfect

But due yourself a favor and read about the issues with other automakers

I can live with stupid key fob but I can not live with a car that might set itself in fire and the manufacturer can not even tell why

Mercedes-Benz recalled certain EQB models due to a potential internal battery failure that could lead to a fire, regardless of whether the vehicle is parked or being driven. The recall affected 2022-2024 EQB 250, EQB 300, and EQB 350 models. The recall was related to battery cells from an early-production batch that may be more susceptible to internal short circuits. Mercedes advised owners to park their vehicles outside and away from structures as a precaution.

Thankfully, our EQS was not included in that recall.

My list....
HUD reflection.
Key fob not detected like everybody else, but yes, jiggle usually works.
The sensor issue, but have no PPF yet. A soft reboot fixed (but if persist if I don't reboot, happened twice).
Wireless charging not working, see service error on screen (yes, wireless charging is not working).
Side video disappear from cockpit screen when using turn signals (until next drive).
Rear view video not working one time.
Couldn't got into Reverse 1 time, this also happened at the same time that said sensors not working, so not sure if they're related. Soft reboot fixed.
Charge port was locked and couldn't pull charger plug out. lock/unlock from fob didn't work, pressing button on charge port didn't work. numbers lock/unlock from cockpit screen finally worked.

BUTTONS!!!! OMG I love buttons. Who would have thunk that a 1920s technology would be a luxury touch in 2025.

She'll let me buy the car I want, but then I'll never hear the end of it if she finds it annoying. And we are essentially a one car family (I do have an ICE pickup truck for hauling and transporting raw materials for my workshop).

Thanks for your help!
The service center said the key battery may be different from the Air and may not be easily removable

EDIT : Was able to remove, placed Amazon order and will try changing battery
The key battery is the same as the battery in the sunshades for the mirror light. You should be able to grab one immediately to switch out. If that still doesn't work there may be one other trick

I hope Lucid management is listening, fix the key situation or see your sales be abysmal.

Not acceptable having the same issues with the Gravity. Wonder how many Gravity had key issues.

Man, this is getting embarrassing!
