Gravity accessories slowly appearing

Won’t fit. Would fit in the trunk though!

Multiple companies make variations on this product. Dometic, BougeRV, and VEVOR immediately come to mind, and I'll bet there are dozens of others. I haven't researched it, but I wouldn't be shocked if someone makes a small electric cooler that would fit in the frunk.

Fair enough.

Has anyone gotten confirmation about whether a charge cable will be included with a Dream Edition? I know @Osyris said he got one with his Dream, but that might have been a special situation. I asked my SA a couple of weeks ago, but he didn't know and has not gotten back to me with an answer.

If I have to order one, I could keep the Gravity charged with our Air cable for a while . . . but I'm having the Gravity delivered directly to the shop that is going to install PPF and then be sent directly to a shop for radar/laster installation. So a cable needs to stay with the car from delivery. But I don't want to spend $650 to order one ahead of time if a cable will come with the car.

It seems that we're unlikely to learn more about what's in the box until there are a few more normal deliveries to forum members. Luckily that looks like it's going to be in 2-3 weeks max, but you'll also be one of the first. My SA also has no reliable info -- I would hope the sun shades, storage boxes, mobile charger, etc come standard.

Just grab a j1772 to nacs adapter and use your air mobile charger Ii n the meantime.

The issue is that the Gravity is being delivered by Lucid directly to a PPF installation shop for about a week and then from there to a radar installation shop for another week. I need a way to keep it charged while it's being worked on, and I need my Air cable at the house to keep that car charged.

Anyway, problem just solved. I called HQ Sales this morning and talked to someone who actually seemed to have very specific information. She said:

- Dreams will be delivered with the charge cable included, and it will have a NACS head on it.
- The two L2 and L3 adapters Kyle Conner showed in his video will be included with the delivery.
- The other accessories are a couple of small gift items such as a tote bag.
- All-weather floor mats, frunk storage bins, and canopy sunshades are not included.

I forgot to ask about the frunk seat, and when I called back I got someone else who seemed less sure of what she was saying but who thought the frunk seat is not included. (The first person said she was not absolutely sure about some of the gift items, but she said she had firm confirmation about the charge cable and adapters.)

Hmm; this conflicts with earlier reports of the frunk seat being included, and it would be an unfortunate omission (particularly since it's not listed for sale as an accessory yet!)

Does anyone really need 80A home charging? I've never really understood the appeal of a hardwired charger vs a mobile charger. I have a NEMA 14-50R in the driveway, and then a 14-30R outside the garage and another in the garage. This is far more useful in case I want to take up welding (or whatever).
Thank you—I completely agree. Many people prioritize the fastest and most powerful option without fully understanding the technical trade-offs or the potential costs involved. Upgrading to higher-amperage breakers often requires significant electrical work, and I’ve heard of people spending thousands just to trench their streets, replace entire panels, or accommodate larger setups.

The truth is, most EV drivers don’t need 80A “fast charging” at home for overnight charging. If your car is charging while you sleep, it really doesn’t matter whether it finishes at 2 a.m. or 4 a.m.—you’ll still wake up to a full (or at least 80%) battery. Unless someone is fully depleting their battery every day and needs it charged by early morning, or they rely on quick top-ups throughout the day (like for rideshare driving), a lower-amperage solution is usually more than sufficient.

Personally, I’ve been using a 14-50R outlet with a 40A breaker and a Tesla Mobile Connector for 2.5 years, and it’s been perfectly adequate for my daily needs. I also installed a 50A breaker for a 40A Wallbox charger for my Lucid, and again, it’s more than enough. In fact, I can often charge both vehicles sequentially—starting one at midnight and the other around 3 a.m.—and still have both at 80% by morning if needed.

Going back to the main topic of this thread, I’m surprised the frunk seat pad isn’t available yet. They created a lot of hype around it lol.
Also, I was expecting to see an air mattress to be used when folding the back seats, Peter mentioned it to me while chatting with him during a meetup a while ago, but maybe it’ll come later.

Notice I said that the second sales rep I talked to about the frunk seat was a lot less sure of her answer than the first rep who told me about the charge cable.

Maybe @Osyris is still following the forum and can tell us whether the frunk seat came with his car?

Agree mostly but for homes like mine where we have multiple EV drivers, that speed can make a difference when the 3 of us need to coordinate charging. A couple of hours can make a big difference from getting a car done charging from 5 - 9 pm vs 11pm and someone has to either get up/stay up late to get their turn or go without until the next day. I know this is not everyone’s use case but just something to think about and plan for if folks are thinking about adding more EVs to their garages.

An 80A circuit for charging does strike me as a bit of a luxury. But when you're paying $100K+ for a luxury vehicle, the luxury of fast charging in your garage doesn't seem unreasonable. My house doesn't have the capacity for more than a 50A circuit without substantial upgrades, but I'd put in the 80A circuit if I had the capacity for it.

It may be while before they're needed, but I ordered the canopy sunshades for our Gravities today. I don't want to find out they are waiting to restock if I order them later. We've had them in our Air for almost a year, and they have held up very well -- no noise, sagging, or warping.

We drove an Air in south Florida for over two years without them and never felt them necessary. But before leaving for a long road trip last summer during a dry heat wave, we decided that we didn't want the sun on our noggins for hours on end day after day. Once we put them in, we just never bothered to take them out. We even had friends who are regular rear seat passengers get into the car and fail to notice them. They do a great job of reducing sun intensity while still transmitting enough light to keep the low cabin from feeling claustrophobic.

I'm glad Lucid made them available right from the outset.

I ordered all available accessories for my Gravity as well the other day. Not just because they could be out of stock when the vehicle gets delivered later this year but also because of potential price increases. I got one of the first Rivians and the charger was $400 at the time in 2022. Now it’s $800 and same performance. Yikes.
