Their current distorted view is useless. Anything in front of or behind the car are not in line with where they are actually located. I use the see-through view every day when parking in my somewhat tight garage - there's an expansion joint in the concrete that should be exactly centered under the car. It's also been helpful to know how far to pull in or back up against a parking curb.

One thing to be aware of if your getting really close to something while using marking on the ground is that the distance changes with ride height.
 
3.5.1 errors that disappear

I made it back to Atlanta from San Diego on Tuesday. Took the car out for a few appointments Wednesday with the new software and kept getting “right marker light” error every 10-20 seconds, along with occasionally “headlight error” and “turn signal error.” When I got out of the car I noticed the passenger side running light was flickering on and off, as well as the Lucid light bar was going on and off. The car wants me to “call customer service.”

I had never gotten these errors before. I’m like “WTH did this software update do to the car?” So, I do 5 or 6 hard resets throughout the day driving around town. The issue persists, but becomes less frequent, and then finally goes away. I drive the car today, Thursday, and no errors. This makes no sense to me either electrically or from a software standpoint. It’s ghosts in the machine, I guess. …Almost like the software update had to settle in, although I know there’s no such thing.

I’m sitting in the car in the garage tonight pounding the stereo, messing with the lighting, playing with CarPlay and the software. I’m thinking “when the software is working perfectly this is a damn fine car. I really like everything about it. If the software gremlins could get fixed and the other features working (HUD, HALO/Liveview, Hands-free ADAS) there’s not a car that can touch it. It could really be a spectacular machine, and worth every penny of the $141K I paid for it. I really hope Emad & team get the software finished.

That sounds like a single hardware problem to me. I'd get it in to service.

I too use it almost every day, in tight drive-thru lanes as well as in our garage. I've found it to be one of the more useful features that's been added recently.

Yes, it does seem like hardware, but it didn’t start until the software update. We’ll see…
 
After the update the keyfob detection regressed to pre-3.4 times. Once every 5 times it detected the keyfob. Same when leaving the car. Seemed sluggish too, and the driver window got stuck fully closed making it hard to open the door and then also hard to close the door (hitting the door rim) and the switch didn’t respond either. After some fiddling every time it happened it eventually worked again. Hasn’t happened in the last two days but my wife is scared of using it and not being able to close the door if it happens to her.
I even replaced the keyfob battery again just in case and no luck. Still only picking it up once every 5 times.

CarPlay and the rest seems to be working fine and reliably which is great.
I had 2 sets of microphones replaced and finally now they work fine to make calls.

So as I posted earlier in this thread I was having issues with the see-through camera when in reverse. This problem would not go away so I did a reset as a result and the good news is it fixed that view but the bad news is, and frankly I'd rather have what I lost rather than what I gained, the key fob has gone berserk again. So damn frustrated with inconsistencies! Give me back my key fob and I'll give up the transparent view!
 
Not sure if this is hardware or software but since 3.5.1 passenger side window misbehaves. Goes down when you tell it to go up. Phantom opens. Won't close randomly. Going in for service in a few weeks. Adding to the list.

There's a reset you may want to try.

@hmp10 ran into this too. Try the reset above
 
Without fail….. one week in with new software and the fob starts becoming a problem again. This is getting beyond ridiculous at this point

You're walking away and the car is not locking?

That's weird, because the car is certainly not seeing a key nearby.

I feel your pain. This is not a like a new technology they've just invented.

I've given up on the fob. Its utterly useless.

I strictly use the app to give myself driving privileges, and have to lock the car manually every time.

It’s the same old story. Unlocks 100% without fail but when you actually need it to lock it just randomly decides to not do it.

Clearly Marc is running the Exec version of the software because he’s not experiencing fob issues. According to him on LinkedIn they’re “all resolved”. Wonder when we’ll get the Exec version!

Fob buttons are painful, hit it miss. I keep auto unlock off and use push to lock unlock. This has been consistent through all recent updates.
 
I've disabled the auto lock/unlock. It always unlocks just fine when I press the driver handle. To lock though, it's annoying. It doesn't always work. Sometimes I push the handle and it locks just fine. Other times, the motor fights back and wants to keep the handles extended.

One thing to note that is different than air is that unlock lock only works on driver and front passenger handles.
 
Yes, it's only on the front doors, and they're equally finicky to lock the car.

What happened to KISS (keep it simple, stupid)?
