Gravity 3.5.1

Right on. I don't mind presenting the drivers side door handle, but I really dislike how I can't open the other doors if I'm standing next to them (with the keyfob in my pocket) by pressing on the handles -- to, say, let a passenger in first. Maybe this will be my solution?
Both front door handles can be pressed in to unlock the car.

You have to push the door handle all the way in. A light touch won't do it.
I'll test that.

I believe that was the original plan for Gravity. But then when they realized that PAAK would not be ready by launch, they scrambled and sourced FOBs at last minute (thus why only one FOB per car except Dream Edition) and also so many FOB issues at launch as it was not supposed to originally have a FOB. Please note that this is speculation and not based on official Lucid statements but there was supposedly a Lucid statement during an interview stating the plan for no FOB at launch, thus the rampant speculation on follow on consequences when PAAK did not arrive as planned.

So, if Lucid doesn’t plan on having FOBs for Cosmos, they better be 100% sure PAAK is sorted out and ready. I would assume that Cosmos would be using same PAAK system as what is in our delayed arrival in Gravity. So if PAAK is still not delivered to Gravity within next six months, I would be sourcing FOBs for Cosmos ASAP.
As far as I know, there are no cars w/o FOB, even Teslas have them but are optional. So I doubt Lucid was planning to go FOBless, specially given that the customer base tends to skew older than other brands. But just my uneducated guess...

I'll test that.
With passive lock and passive unlock turned off, and the fob in your pocket, you should be able to walk up to the car and press the door handle fully in to unlock it. And after exiting the car, press the door handle fully in to lock it.

Does that work with all doors or just the driver’s door?
Mine only works for the latter.

I what conditions does your car allow you to unlock by pressing? Mine has never worked this way.

Otherwise, the FOB has been pretty good most of the time.
Try the remote access feature in the app. When you engage that, it says to press the handle to unlock the car n

I stand corrected. That worked fine now. It's a bit finicky, because you have to push and wait a second or so, then it locks everything. That's fine with me.

That's not what I'm looking for: to fish around in my pocket, pull out my phone, unlock it, find the app, open it up, click the unlock button... Way too fussy, may as well just use the FOB manually.

Rather, i want to walk up and touch a door handle (keeping the keyfob in my pocket) and have it unlock that door handle, like nearly all cars have done for the last 8-10 years. Sounds like I need to turn OFF auto lock/unlock for that to be a reality.

I did like the auto lock/unlock functionality (set to only unlock drivers door) when you approach, and lock all doors as you leave (with the keyfob in your pocket). But it's unfortunate that you can't also unlock the passenger door(s) with an additional door handle touch. When I do, it just locks everything up.

🤷‍♂️ At the risk of jinxing mine, I wonder how common or rare fob issues are with Gravity. I've had no trouble at all with it, though with only a couple weeks' experience.
I've never had an issue with mine.

On a different note, subsequent to 3.5x the 'see-through' camera magic of which used to magically see under the vehicle - that function no longer works. I can tap the button to activate (in theory), It highlights as if the feature is activated but in fact, the see thru visual does not actually activate on the camera display. This has been continuous for the past couple of days. Sound familiar to anyone else?

It’s only been day 2 since my own update to 3.5.1, but no issues with my fob. I’ve had zero issues with my fob on the previous software version as well, though.

The see through option was always gimmicky, I’ve never used it. If I’ve already run over it, it’s too late. I’d rather they spent the time getting a useful 360 camera view. Their current distorted view is useless. Anything in front of or behind the car are not in line with where they are actually located. It’s really only useful to determine if you parked between the lines.

I was offering one option. Simply turning it all off does this as well.

Used it today...worked perfectly to line my wheels up in the car wash. I also have used it a bunch on recent camping trips to avoid rocks and tree stumps as I maneuver the car into a decent camp spot. So yeah, edge use cases, but still useful for some.

It doesn’t bother you that anything directly behind you or in front of you is misaligned? The top down view takes the width of the Gravity and attaches it to car. When backing into a parking space the 360 view camera shows you’re about to park over the rear line, while the rearview camera shows you’re like 80 inches away still. When parking between two cars it’s so distorted it looks like you’re going to hit them even though you’re within the lines.

You may need to have your cameras checked or re-callibrated.

My DE is pretty accurate and the GT is off a little bit (had SC check but they said within acceptable range).

Picked up my GGT last Sunday complete w/ 3.5.1. Stopped for a bite to eat on the way home and used the transparent view to line up a narrow parking spot in front of TGI Sushi. Thumbs up on the feature (and the hamachi sashimi!)

Also, so far fob works like fob🤷‍♂️...no issues here either

My only other experience with the top down view is my Polestar and it is identical. Now I'm curious what a good one looks like...

of course the fob started to work perfectly since yesterday afternoon
This is what happened to me, give it a week and it stops work and reverts back to the frustration.

I dont think it's the fob itself but the antenna or something in the car. It feels like it doesn't wake up or isn't always on with this update. The key card works immediately, it's something upstream.
