Ive confirmed 3/30/22, agt, silver, tahoe, 19", and da said at the time silver will start in jul and it still says so on web site. Da said mine could be jul-sep. Did your da mention anything about lead time for the silver itself?

How are they prioritizing these since they claim 30K reservations. Are 27K for the Pure 🤔🤔🤔that a GT Booked now could be delivered in September?

Also seems to go down from forcast 20000 cars to 12000-14000 and as it seems they havent produced many so far this year that the production rate for q3 and q4 will be higher than forcasted. I dont think they can ramp up so fast. Im considering changing to red but never know how itll mess up my atg in the que.

Lucid Air GT, Quantum Grey, Santa Cruz, 21” Aero Blade ordered on 15 November 2021. VIN confirmed 5 May 2022. No delivery date yet,
 
BTW My DA told me that they are being given talking points tomorrow to address the stoppage of the deliveries. I suppose we will know more tomorrow. Supposedly the talking points are getting their 3rd Inspection were supposed to have been given today. 😂😜😂😜🥊
 
It will be interesting to hear what they have to say and see if they actually give any real information. I expect it to be some sort of canned statement that really doesn’t tell us much, kind of along the lines of “every car takes its’ own unique journey” or “deliveries will resume soon”.

The other thing that will be interesting to see is if they are proactive and actually call/contact those that have cars stuck in the Lucid black hole or if they force the customer to call to hear their talking points.

With respect to the reasons behind the delays, that is what we thought, but the bigger problem is how we all are coming to these conclusions and getting the information. You got it from a Service person, someone those of us waiting to take delivery have no interaction with. The only person we talk to is our DA, and mine has told me nothing in this respect. He won't clarify anything. I finally told him to just quit calling me until he actually has something new to tell me. Lucid's method of communication and how it is disseminating information is bass-ackwards. I am sure Lucid doesn't intend it to be this way, they probably don't think we should get that information from anyone, DA or Service Tech. They really need to be more proactive. The information is getting out, so it has nothing to do with being a public Company or not. They actually would be better with more public disclosure, not leaks.

I don’t know why people think Lucid should be giving out internal information to the general public about their production problems. When was the last time anyone contacted Ford, General Motors, Mercedes, BMW etc. about internal information and actually received a reply? Sure they could be a bit better on communication but no company on the planet, in or out of the automotive industry, directly gives internal information out to prospective customers. If we do not like this we as consumers have the option of walking away and buying elsewhere.

Having said all of this would everyone ahead of me that has ordered a GT/Zenith Red/Tahoe/21” please cancel so I can get mine sooner! 😊

If they were an established manufacturer with a dealer network to take care of problems I might not be as concerned as to the reasons why, but if there is something I need to look at myself before I take delivery, I want to know what that is. It is more important for a new Company who has not established their quality or reputation. I do not get the same chance to inspect this car that I otherwise would have and any legal ramifications are that much harder when you have to pursue them across state lines.

i can want whatever information I feel like. It is up to them to decide what they are going to tell me and then it is up to me if I want to take delivery. Your comparison is apples and oranges. If you think we should hold Lucid to the lesser information availability that we might expect of established brands, then we should also hold Lucid to the same software/feature benchmark.

This is a $150k car from a manufacturer with no reputation and no track record. Trust only goes so far and after seven months of waiting since confirmation and being told various things that serve to erode that trust, I would like to know the latest reasoning behind my delay.

Well, I placed my deposit back in 2020 so it’s not like I am being treated special either….😊
PS- Though I love cars and own 12 at the present time the oldest now 103 years old my priorities are my wife and family. Getting a new car is a 2-3 out of 10.

He said they are supposed to so take that with a grain of Salt. While they won’t tell us any internal issues, we should at least get the assurance that the cars will be free of whatever issue that happened. Better still identifying the issue so that we can reassure ourselves that it was indeed corrected. As CTLGT Said at a ICE Dealership we have the ability to inspect our vehicle before taking delivery and refusing delivery and not paying for it in advance. Also for a lot of us that is one big payment. However I would not cancel taking delivery but buy and flip it to some one who wants it bad enough 🤑

Hi adding my order to the tracker. Confirmation date was May 6, 2022. White/Santa Cruz interior. Still waiting on VIN.

Wow, really? When was your confirmation date? I would have thought that you would have been one of the first to receive a GT.

What changed was I upgraded from Touring to Grand Touring. I may have been near the beginning of the Touring batch but have no idea where I am in the Grand Touring batch. Confirmation 5/12 and was told I was to get a VIN July 10 but with the current stoppage and recalls who knows…..

Oh, that makes sense. I upgraded to a GT on 4/5. At first I was under the impression that we would be skipping the line a bit, but understandably we are not. The language they used was vague enough to have plausible deniability.
