GPS / location not working, stuck

Just got my car back last week from service for a new battery and front camera. Now I’m seeing this issue. Resets aren’t working and the car thinks it’s constantly in my garage. Won’t acknowledge speed limits anywhere (because it’s in my garage) and also the app won’t activate. Just constantly waking up.

So frustrating. I’ve reached out to tech support but if this takes another extended maintenance to repair this is likely the end of the road for me.
Hi, @Moshne.

Thank you for sharing. I just sent you a DM.

Greetings from Germany.

I had vehicle GPS position stuck in Navigation for a while. The solution I found is the reset of TCU (Telematic Control Unit) by removing correct fuses:
- open the fuse boxes (front and rear)
- close the vehicle keeping frunk and trunk open
- put the key fob away and wait until vehicle is sleep/off. This will happen after couple minutes. Lights of both frunk and trunk will go off.
- remove both TCU fuses (see schematics)
- wait min 1 minute
- put fuses back
- get back the key and open the car

This worked for me.

Schematics of fuse boxes were available here, which helped me a lot!

I don’t think we are supposed to reset the TCU on our own. That is what other knowledgeable folks mentioned on this forum. But getting to the actual TCU itself is very easy. It is behind the backseats once the seats are folded. When the tech did it for me, he was not even looking. I think he simply pulled the power and put it back. There are a bunch of cables going to that unit like Ethernet, wireless antenna, etc and I am not sure which one is power but I do have some guesses.

I think there are multiple revisions of TCUs out there but here are some pictures. One is real and other one showing ports are from eBay. I guess the one with four round ports are power but I don’t know for a fact.

I've had my Touring '25 for 3 wks now and I already experienced all internet connections being disconnected and GPS not working on the navigation. App lost connection and no soft/hard reset helped. It sounds like physical reset of the TCU may resolve it or may need to get replaced. Why is this still a common issue since 2022 models and not yet fixed? Anybody know what's happening or how to prevent it? Has anyone gone through the fix and had the issue return? I'm trying to figure out if resetting TCU will be good enough or if I need to ask for more of a permanent fix (like a TCU replacement if they are known faulty units).

If TCU is unresponsive, usually hard or soft reset wouldn’t work. It needs to be power cycled. In my 7 months of ownership, I only had to reset TCU ones. The reason Lucid don’t want us to do this ourselves is they want to work with engineering to figure out the root cause. I am sure if you contact support in an unresponsive state, they will troubleshoot and do the needful including - including replacing it, if needed.

Thank you. Called customer service and hoping to hear back from the Service Center on Monday to get it resolved. I was just wondering if the issue returned for anyone else after initial fix and whether simple TCU reboot should not be the acceptable resolution if replacement is a common permanent solution.

Hi, @Solo and @Nitemist. Thanks for sharing. I just sent you each a direct message.

The telematics in my 24 GT has gone “offline” for the third time now in three months. They reset it twice already. Back to the shop next week. Hopefully they’ll replace the hardware this time. If that will even solve the problem. Frustrating.
