Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

I stumbled upon a new feature today.
It didn't exist at delivery, so it came with one of the OTAs.

The Pilot Panel custom buttons can be set to turn the Pilot Panel on or off.
I had the right button set for the glove box since delivery and the left one for massage.

Changed the left button to Pilot Panel on/off today.
Previously, during night time driving, I would use the Quick Control feature to dim the panel lighting level.
Now I can just turn it on as needed and back off when done.

Can one of them be set to quick reset the car and infotainment like my PC

If I had the power package it would be a possibility. Alas, I chose speed of delivery over options back in August. Honestly, I don’t miss the Power Package like I thought I would.

Anyone thought about what happens if you circular charge? Like plug the portable 110V charger into the trunk with power package and back to the charge port for L1?

It's a closely held secret, don't talk about it in public. I've been free charging my car like this, but you can't let government know, they will silence you for not paying for free electricity

Hmmm..1st law of thermodynamics predicts heat loss from this system would "trickle drain" the battery.

...Love to see 5-7 year data on true quantified battery degradation of freq circularly charged vehicles vs controls and at various SOC though!

Someone has probably mentioned this already but driving around today I just realized. I NEVER use the brake! The regen on this beast is so good and at zero mph it sets the hold. I LOVE my Gravity!

So here's one after having an Air loaner for a week while the Gravity was in the shop—

I like that UX 3.0 has fully independent, self-contained information panels, some of which are redundant but still useful. The Air has a similar layout w/ the cockpit + pilot panels, but the screens are tied together in separate modes, like having only maps show or only Carplay + main car config. screen display at the same time. I know it was a selling point of UX 3.0 when the car was initially marketed, but I didn't appreciate what that independence meant until I didn't have it in the Air; it meant toggling back-and-forth a bunch to try to get all the relevant controls and information shown at the same time.

By the same token, I also appreciate that they also have a notifications/now playing panel in the center part of the cockpit panel (for times when both the pilot and cockpit UI are doing something else), and then there's also some redundancy between the center speedometer UI and the HUD. I have heard some folks say that this amount of screens and information is overwhelming, but it only takes a few hours to learn which parts of the driver's purview to focus on and tune out the rest of it.

If I remember correctly, Lucid said a while ago that they were gonna start charging at some point. So, don't say it too loud

True, but I believe the charge would be for premium content. I think they call it Dream Connect Premium or something like that.

Basic connectivity for updates and overall functioning of the car will remain free.

Yes, trimmed sides and made a hole for the handle. Another one inside the well also trimmed to fit.

Our Gravity is in for service right now, and earlier today I got a "critical alert" on my iPhone (these are the ones that loudly go DUN-DUN-DUN even if you're on silent). The Lucid app showed an alert "Impact detected! Tap for more information" (or some similar wording). I'm hoping this was a false alarm from something at the SC, but it's a pretty cool feature to get a critical alert if there is, in fact, a collision (while parked, or while another driver is in the vehicle).

Speaking of being in service, I gave feedback to the service team that while they put the car into service mode, they still let the user do way too much in the app. You can check location, climate, charging, and even trigger a software update (though Halo Views are disabled, at least). I'm sure it's not that high on their priority list, though.

When they picked it up I asked about if they needed anything other than the key, and the tech said something about not having a service mode available anymore (or something like that) that I didn't dig into. My access to the vehicle doesn't seem any different than when is home right now, which seems weird, but obviously not a priority over fixing bugs.

After driving a bunch this weekend - DD2 Pro. The lane keeping is so much better than what I experienced in an older version of Tesla FSD, no ping-ponging around as it detects other vehicles, lane biasing that actually works (the X used to move away from trucks, then back towards them and then jerk away after it realized a truck was still there almost every time).

Runner up - Tidal with the SSPro Dolby Atmos. Wow.

Maybe not "favorite", but I think it's cute that the front and back light bars indicate the state-of-charge while charging (and the vehicle is awake). Animation comes from the edges to the center while charging, and the width of the lit section in the middle shows SoC.
