EZ-Spare Fit in Frunk

I hope one of the knowledgeable people here can help me.
My requirement is for a spare that will be safe for up to 500 miles at reasonable speed (70ish). I often drive from Austin to Santa Fe and would not want to spend days stranded between these waiting for tire/wheel replacements. From the threads here it would appear none of the frunk friendly offerings would be recommended, the Modern spare is probably closest.
I have a GT with 20 inch wheels. Would it be sensible to get a spare 20 inch wheel (not necessarily Lucid) fitted with a 245/40 tire? This would be the same size as existing for the front, but the rears are 265/40. Would there be a problem driving 500 miles on that mismatch at the rear?
Since I rarely use the frunk (I was put off by the hood bending issues on early Model S) I could put this up front for these long trips.

Anyone have any experience with this spare:

I have this one. Have I ever used it? no... I did get a portable ramp in case the car is too low to the ground to jack up.

Thanks. That is superior planning!

I also have this one and it fits in the Frunk and is black! I

Remind me how far these tires are recommended to drive…. I seem to recall it was not far, so wasn’t so sure it’d get me to a repair shop? Though I suppose it’d at least get me to a hotel where I could problem-solve.

(Pumping up a leaking tire has been all I’ve needed for decades now, so I’m reluctant to sacrifice that valuable frunk space)

But I’d appreciate hearing a more robust case for the value of these spares!!

I got ez spare and it won't fit in the lower part of the frunk even if I put the front side first as few people have mentioned here.

All options on ez spare are 20" for 2025 air. Does anyone have a 20" spare that actually fits in the frunk properly?

I have a 20 inch from EZ spare. It does fit- you place the tire in the back of the frunk first at an angle, then slide in the front portion of the tire. Just needs a little bit of acrobatics..

Only an OEM tire or equivalent can do tbat

Yes, that was my conclusion too. I wish the frunk was designed to take a full size spare, it should not be too difficult. Ideally the spare would be offered as an option.
I now have a spare 20” to take on long trips but it mostly fills the trunk.

Given that the spares still have mileage and speed restrictions, I just bought - It fits nicely over the travel charger. Also bought a 12 v extension cord to make sure I can reach all 4 wheels.

There’s no link here, so I can’t be sure, but this looks very similar to the tire repair kit that Lucid sells. The inflator can be used simply to top off the pressure as needed in a tire that has a nail with a slow leak (which is generally been all I’ve needed for the past 20 years in my other cars), or you can insert the sealant if the air loss is more substantial.

Is there something about the kit that you felt had advantages over the Lucid option?

(I haven’t actually taken it out to test, but my assumption has been that the Lucid kit will reach all four tires without an extension)

I think it’s similar to the Lucid, however i could not find the Lucid brand. Also I wouldn’t think Lucid’s would be $65
