End of Road to Gravity. It’s time for Gravity on Road!!!

My sales specialist proactively reached out to me yesterday to present me with a copy of my pro-forma agreement/invoice showing final pricing (including sales tax, destination, filing fee, tire waste fee, and registration fee). Interestingly, there’s a line showing expected odometer at delivery and it reads 100 miles 😳 Is that standard for Lucid? Gravity will be my first experience with Lucid, so I’m not sure. I’ve never taken delivery of a brand new car with more than 20 miles on the odometer.

Interesting. I am an early Lucid Air Dream Edition owner and ordered a Gravity in the first few hours that orders were open. I talked to my delivery advisor a couple of days ago, and he was still hearing nothing about when deliveries would begin (beyond those 9 that were delivered at year end to make a publicity deadline).

Do you mind saying when you ordered?

Please don't take this post as anger that you're getting a Gravity soon. I'm just curious about what Lucid's delivery plans are.

Congratulations, by the way!

Let the moaning and groaning begin. Sigh....

This is a thread about Lucid deliveries. If a discussion and accompanying questions about Lucid's delivery plans bother you, then best to just quit reading the thread.

This is from an October 29, 2024 Lucid Press Release:

"On November 7, orders will open for customers in the U.S., with current Lucid owners given priority for taking delivery of their Lucid Gravity."

It appears Lucid's delivery plan might have changed. It's not unreasonable for current Lucid owners with Gravity orders to ask what's changed and why.

I ordered the minute the online portal opened on 7 November. And, to be clear, the pro-forma invoice my sales specialist sent me does NOT include so much as a hint of a delivery timeframe, so current owners shouldn’t think this Tesla-to-Lucid switcher is getting his before they receive theirs. Frankly, if I did receive an earlier delivery slot, I wouldn’t let anyone know now that I know what the reaction would be 🫠.

For the record, since someone asked up-thread, my config is Aurora Green, Stealth, Ojai, 22/23, fully loaded (max options ticked).

"Wouldn't let anyone know"? Whoa whoa. Get ahold of yourself here.
We cannot have closet owners on here.

Here's what you and other "No Air With Gravity" owners (aka a NAWG) can do to avoid the ire of "Air/Gravity" owners A/Gs:

Before posting about anything resembling delivery, update your profile with an ghost (unverified) Air ownership.
Nobody is keeping track other than the "Verified Owner" tag that shows in a profile.
Then post your delivery info.
More importantly, after taking delivery, start daily driving and post feedback on your experiences.

I'm kinda joking ... obviously do whatever you want, but seriously, it would be nice to hear the feedback of all Gravity owners (NAWGs and A/Gs) from day one of ownership.

At some point I anticipate a Gravity order tracker will appear.
If NAWGs don't participate, the usefulness of the tracker is going to be less effective.
If you get a Gravity before a current owner, that is not your fault.

Hopefully this is a non-issue and if nothing more, this post keeps forum traffic from seeming slow.

What time did you order exactly? Mine went 8:48am est

For the record, you are exactly the buyer Lucid needs to fix their bottom line Air owner or not.

Here's what you and other "No Air With Gravity" owners (aka a NAWG) can do to avoid the ire of "Air/Gravity" owners A/Gs . . . .

Why are people reading invidious motives into the posts to @bryway that are simply not there? I haven't seen anything here to suggest any ire is directed at @bryway at all. Why wouldn't anyone who ordered a Gravity take delivery when offered without owing anyone else an explanation or justification?

The only issue raised has been what Lucid told current owners about their place in the delivery queue. As I've posted several times elsewhere on the forum, I actually don't want to be among the first to take delivery of the Gravity, as I don't want to go through some of the manufacturing teething pains I went through with my early Air delivery back in 2021.

But I am nevertheless curious about what's going on at Lucid with deliveries. Remember that they said they weren't going to take Gravity reservations because they didn't want to deal with the uncertainties of long reservation waits and were thus going straight to orders. Then they opened orders, and delivery advisors started reaching out to customers who ordered. But those advisors had no information that wasn't already on the Lucid website or in their press releases . . . and not the faintest idea of when orders might be delivered. (Even now, two and a half months after orders opened, my delivery advisor has no idea when demo cars will be on hand to view or test drive at the studios.). Then radio silence until a sudden announcement that deliveries had begun, but with only nine near-identical cars being delivered right at year end. Then the radio silence resumed.

Now we hear that Lucid is not giving the delivery priority to existing owners that they said they would. It raises a legitimate question as to why. It's an answer Lucid owes to existing owners. It's nothing that @bryway owes to any of us.

Generating the invoice is much easier than generating the car. I wouldn't get my knickers twisted yet.

That's my order configuration exactly, except for the towing package.

If you get your car before I have to confirm my order, I'd be curious what you think of the Aurora/Ojai combo when you see it in the flesh. When I put the Ojai color swatch up against the Aurora Green car I saw in Miami, I thought something in the Ojai clashed a bit with the green. But it was under studio lighting which can play a lot of tricks, and Ojai was my favorite interior color, so that's what I ordered.

It's also why I'm impatient to find out whether a test drive car that I can see in sunlight will show up with the Ojai interior at one of the three design studios within a reasonable drive of me.

If I do find the Aurora/Ojai not to my liking in the flesh, I would keep the Ojai and switch the exterior color to Lunar Titanium. And that's why I'm also impatient to know why the Lunar is still tagged as "late availability" on the order configurator and how long the delay might be.

I may order Aurora with Platinum accents rather than Stealth, so I can tell which Gravity is mine at the Trader Joe's parking lot.

Come on now @hmp10.
I did say I was joking.

My post was not the result of reading an incidious motive into any posts to @bryway.
You specifically stated in your post to @bryway that you had no anger toward him.
Now is it possible a non-Air owner does get their Gravity before an Air owner and decides to not post about it? Yes.
That's a possiblity anyway.
However, as I said in the last line of my post, hopefully it's a non-issue.

As the forum CWO we need keeping us focused on real issues. No need to laugh at my joking, but at least note when I say I'm joking.
As an individual forum member, I need you to continue as my motivation of patience, knowing your long wait for an Air.
You're my muse. :)

I just cant imagine what life would be like with social media. This is just weird.

I just want to hear about deliveries and real owner experiences. I don't care who gets priority - because Lucid decides. If they decide current owners get priority, cool. If they prioritize those who ordered first, cool. It's their business decision and I hope nobody is offended by it. I am not.

When you get one, please, please post your experience here. I want to read about it as a potential future owner.

I think that’s awesome that your sales person did this and, I imagine, others will start to see some movement in this regard relatively soon…unless you have a sales person gone rogue, LOL. As someone new to Lucid…enjoy your Gravity when you get it. I expect you’ll be blown away. I pinch myself every time I get behind the wheel of my AGT.

I’m also interested…if you’d be willing to share, why did you decide to buy a Lucid?

Cheers and hoping your driving experience is every bit as delicious as mine has been thus far!!
