Lickfold had a cold in a recent test drive video. Maybe it got worse?
 
... on a public road where he was likely not pushing the car to its limit anyway ...
I have driven those roads in my Air a few times for fun. They are barely travelled wine country roads, so you can definitely crank it. Probably not to the limit of the Sapphire as you said, but you're definitely not driving Miss Daisy.
