98% sure I am buying a Lucid Gravity this fall and dumping my Model X. My question/discussion is about driving and living in Mexico for several months of the year. Does anyone have experience with this? What about service?

I drove to Toronto with my Lucid Air only to receive a note from Lucid about driving to Canada and waiving some restrictions. I don't have the note handy but I thought that was a strange message. You might want to check with Lucid. I love to road trip and want the freedom to go where ever I want to go.

Can you give some more detail on this? I'm driving to Montreal and the Maritimes this summer, so now I'm curious.

Curious. I've been all over BC and went to Banff and Jasper and never had any such note, nor any issues while there.

The first question, it seems to me, will be establishing that you can do so legally. One does need separate insurance to drive in Mexico and many auto leases and financing agreements may have terms regarding international travel. Driving without complying with these terms might be possible but it would be like driving without insurance.

Correct. That would be covered before I go visit friends who have built down there. My issue is charging, service if needed, etc.
