Drive System Warning - 2,000 miles and 6 weeks after full warranty expired

It’s not a joke they won’t tow outside of warranty. Why should they?

And why did you buy car with service 10 hours away?

Sometimes bad luck happens, that’s life.
love the client blaming here.

I said they wouldn't tow INSIDE warranty, nevermind outside warranty.

and I bought the car with service 10 hours away because i live in the middle of nowhere. I contacted lucid prior to buying the car to see how warranty support worked and they assured me remote work, sending a tech, and towing were all options for warranty work and when something in warranty happened, it didn't. I had to fight tooth and nail for months to get it serviced. I never had a problem with porsche or any of the other luxury vehicles i had before towing to their dealership hours away. Hell, the only problem I had with my cayman was a pinched windshield washer line and they towed and fixed the line...it probably cost them thousands of dollars for a $30-$40 part.

And I didn't think the car would breakdown a mere six weeks after warranty.

As much as i hate people like watermelon or whatever his name is posting here always bashing lucid non stop, I can't help but dislike the posts of people that say lucid can do no wrong and it's the client that's always at fault.

I'm surprised at you saying it will cost you "thousands of dollars" to transport your car to the service center. I moved my lucid in an enclosed transport from Texas to Northern California for $1650. Not cheap but really far.

I feel like your issue might be covered under warranty. Not the tow which I would be very frustrated as well but the motor...

"Powertrain Limited Warranty

The Powertrain is covered for the duration of 8 years or 100,000 miles (160,000 km),

whichever occurs first. The Powertrain Limited Warranty will cover the cost of repair,

replacement, or adjustment of the defective parts of the Lucid powertrain subject

to the limitations outlined in this New Vehicle Limited Warranty. This coverage is for

Lucid’s sophisticated electric powertrain, including the fully integrated electric drive units,

transmission, and differential.

If it is determined that your powertrain requires warranty repair, Lucid will repair, replace, or

adjust the part with a new, reconditioned, or remanufactured part at the discretion of Lucid."
we're in Canada. The estimate is $2500+tax...so basically $3000+repairs. We operate on a different level of corporate greed in Canada

I investigated and I think/hope you may be right. What throws me off are the posts of the people who received this error and it ended up being coolant leaks, etc. Not necessarily directly with the powertrain. If it's powertrain, then yes, it's covered by warranty but because the message is so generic, we have no idea what it means. And parking the car for three days is one way to figure it out, according to them. Like I said, good thing we have three vehicles.

Another bump is that even if it is discovered to be a warranty issue, i'll have to fight with them to pay for that tow as well. It's a complete circus.

It’s ironic to me that some of the commentators who are quick to blame customers are bullish on the stock. It’s as if they don’t realize that a successful upstart car company needs to prioritize meeting customer expectations. And if they don’t they’ll not only lose customers but investors as well.

And even if your investment in Lucid is limited to owning their product, stories like this just add to the depreciation cliff of the brand. And that’s a real problem for the next product launch. Because prospective buyers (and investors) always have choices.

They take any brand criticism as an attack on their shares. I’ve been accused so many times of being a “shorty” or “spreading FUD” to hurt this penny stock. It’s laughable.

How dare you.

The stock is down only 99% since 2021, and today the stock is worth over three hundred of those pennies you speak of so dismissively. THREE HUNDRED!

Happy Tuesday.
