RESOLVED Door won't open

Driver side passenger door will not open. The outside handle is in the open position but door does not open. Tried pull hard on the inside handle. It moves but again door does not open. Did an AIR reset. Again door does not open.
Any ideas?

Try pulling REALLY hard from the inside. It should work. (Not from the outside)

Question, isn’t the mechanical release to pull once normally, and THEN pull hard again?

Yup, I think so - quoted from page 20 of the Manual:

If the vehicle loses power, you can open every door using the interior door handles. To open the vehicle from the inside, pull the interior handle to the second detent for the manual door latch to release.

I had to do this once when I had the same issue a few months back - it hasn't happened since so my memory was a bit fuzzy on the details. Thanks for clarifying!

I did try that as I stated in my original post. It did move to what should have been the open position but door still did not open.

This is most likely a mechanical issue, in that case. Have you called service yet?

Gremlins they may be, but safety gremlins you should get checked out, if the emergency release wasn't working.

I had an issue (maybe similar to yours) where the door handles would present after unlocking car but the driver's door
could not be opened. This only happened occasionally. The door handle was extended, but it was "dead", so to speak. Had to bring it
in to service for a mechanical adjustment of the internal mechanism.

I have the reverse problem. MY wife drove my car the other day and when I switched my profile back to myself the passenger front door now will not lock. The exterior handle remains extended. In fact when I drove off the other day the passenger front door flew open. The only way to lock it is to sit in the driver's seat reach over to the passenger door and give it a hard shut. The car will not lock if I am outside the car or if I try to shut the door from the outside. The handle remains extended. Service coming tomorrow so hopefully will do a fix. Had a similar problem when I first bought the car. Replaced entire latching mechanism and that solved the problem. Not sure if this is a software or hardware problem as it occurred only after switching profiles so my wife could drive the car. Hopefully, good news tomorrow.

The driver's door handle on my '23 Touring (30k miles) will not present (although all the other handles will). . Then the handle will vibrate really loudly, almost like a jackhammer. That door can be opened only from the inside (yes, very awkward). Mobile service is coming Wednesday to correct. From the response I got from them, it's clear I'm not the only one with this issue. Anyone else.dealt with this issue?

Had diver's door not present a few days ago , had to enter thru passenger door and reach thru to mechanically unlatch driver door.
Hasn't happened since.

I love this car.

That happened to me, albeit after I got sideswiped by a Toyota Highlander back in January.

They most likely will have to replace the motor on that handle. It has happened to a few people here before. But not many.
