Since the car already has a wonder box why bother with a stand-alone box full of circuits / relays ?
I'd just run the charge cable right to the mains.
... just run the cable through the pool = heats the pool and cools the cable.

I have another idea for generating electricity using a reciprocating balloon and a sweater ...
