My wife and I were trying to wash the car in the driveway because the weather was nice. I was doing the exterior and she was trying to do the interior. Every time I would approach the car it would present the door locks and open (since zi had my phone) but if I would step away to get a rag or something, it would lock itself and she couldn’t get in. This made it very difficult to access the inside when we wanted to, and then the rain sensor started the wipers going from the spray of the hose, which of course happened as we were trying to wipe down the windshield. Then we discovered that it is impossible to manually lift the windshield wipers up and away from the windshield to clear out Pine needles and leaves from the recess between the windshield and the hood where the wipers reside. So a lot of material gets trapped in there. I’ve never seen a car where you can manually lift the wipers away from the glass. The car needs a WASH mode where the doors will stay unlocked. The rain sensor is disabled , and the wipers can be manually lifted off the glass.

You can shut the wipers off manually in the side display. I think if you lift the frunk you can get to the space below the wipers. For unlocking I disable proximity generally so not aware of a solution for you there.

1) disable proximity unlock. Even if you don’t, after 10 cycles (or 15?) it will stop

2) turn off the wipers, pop the frunk, lift the wipers off the glass

Two steps, easy wash :)

Thanks. The proximity sensor never stopped. But it’s very inconsistent a way. Often when I actually want to get in the car it does nothing and I have to push the handle in to trigger it to open, and even then sometimes I have to repeat that 3-4 times. I’ve reported this to Lucid before. If I were in an unsafe situation and had to get in the car right away, I probably would have been killed already.

If the fob battery isn't drained then your handles may be an issue. Get fresh fob batteries to rule that out and maybe disable proximity if you have learned to live without it.
