C63, GLS, AGT-on order
I live 5 hours from the nearest Lucid service center, researched the forum ahead of time, and was crystal clear about the mobile service gamble I was taking when I ordered my '25 Air GT last month. Delivery is supposedly in April and I have a choice between delivery at my home, or a flight to Seattle and a day-1 road trip back home in my new car. Based on recent experiences, does anyone want to nudge me one way or the other based on new car issues? This isn't a "cost for delivery" issue, but rather an reason to spend a weekend out of town and then get to open this thing up on the 8... I mean 6 hour drive back home. Thanks in advance!

Take the flight. Let the service advisor know you flew in just so they could help you get acquainted with your new car. Hopefully, you’ll have a knowledgeable SA with a well practiced spiel. Let them walk you through pairing your phone(s) as a mobile key. Take the time to look at the doors and trunk panels for misalignment. Check the functioning of the trunk and frunk as well as the soft close of all doors. I’m sure it will all be good but … Enjoy the ride home and check out the swift mode!

PS Congrats on your new car and welcome to the forum.

I had my Air GT delivered to me, the car came when they said it would but the driver just unloaded it and left.
being that I was quite familiar with EVs and the tech I had no issues setting the car up on my own but it could be a challenge for a newbie.
the only other issue with the home delivery was that the car was delivered dirty, it was not detailed at all, I am fairly certain that if I picked up the car at one of Lucid's location the car would have been properly detailed.
