Hey Everyone,
I have to share this crazy experience that you could not make up. I test drove the Gravity on Friday 9/26/25 a car I have been eyeing for a while. They didn't have the exact configuration in stock, so I was told. So if I ordered one. I paid my 1k deposit and left the studio with the expectation of seeing the vehicle in December. Two hours later I get a call that we have the "same vehicle" not stealth but in platinum trim. If that works for you I will have the car here Monday 9/29/2025 for a Tuesday pickup. The incentive to go Platinum was a 2k in Studio pickup credit which would offset the additional Premium trim cost. I said Yes and the games begun.
I was paying cash for the vehicle and no trade in. I was given the impression this had to happen by Tuesday (9/30/25) as this was a special deadline for Lucid. So I needed to confirm I was available to pickup the vehicle Tuesday to which I agreed. I asked for an afternoon not a 7pm pickup time which is closing time. I wanted time to review the car, test drive and make sure all was working so we settled on 3:30pm. I was super responsive all weekend getting them everything they needed, insurance info, license info etc etc... Monday 9/29/2025 I was pressured into sending them a wire for the full amount minus my deposit as they claim wires can take 24 hours. I knew this was not true as I do them all the time. The vehicle was arriving Tuesday 9/30/2025 so I figured why not. I signed the purchase agreements via DocuSign and sent the wire which showed up less then two hours later. So Monday 9/29/2025 the documents are signed and countersigned and the car is paid in full so now I figure tomorrow should be a piece of cake, not so fast.
I get a text from the sales person Monday night 9/29/2025 at 9:51PM that the truck for whatever reason wasn't able to make it all the way to us in Natick. My manager is asking if they can drive the car the rest of the way to Natick. This would be 300 miles on the car and we will give you a $250 credit for the inconvenience. This didn't sit well with me as so many things could go wrong and frankly this was much bigger than a $250 problem. I was frustrated and insulted. Today 9/30/2025 I receive an email the register paperwork has been completed and proof of insurance is completed. Wait the best part, another email comes right after with an updated purchase agreement with the 2k in Studio pickup credit gone and more sales taxes now that the credit is gone the purchase price is higher.
Wait so they have trucking issues and there inability to deliver the vehicle as promised is going to cost me 2k +, help me understand how this is good business in any way shape or form? I am all ears? Needless to say I declined to sign the newly updated purchase documents.... Now What? I am ready to say "refund please"
