I have Dream Drive Pro, but I'm having problems just enabling the basic cruise control. I've had trouble just getting it turned on and set to a specifc speed. The directions seem clear enough ( hit the left-most button (Dream Drive activate) to turn on DD, and then press the toggle switch to set the speed ). It's that second part that doesn't appear to be working. Does the toggle actually allow a 'press', or it just a rotating up/down switch? I've tried pushing up, holing up, holding the DD activation button. I think I'm switching between HA and AAC, but the 'set' never seems to work as expected.
In every car I've ever owned, when they combined the SET function with the Accelerate/Decelerate setting, they always notate it as something like ( Set/Accelerate ) or (Set/Decelerate).
This manual and every post just says press the toggle switch.
Is it an actual 'press', a toggle up, or a toggle down, that is supposed to set the speed for Cruise Control? Does being in HA or ACC mode affect how the speed is set? I'm not referring to the adaptive speed, but just the basic set speed you start with.
This over-reliance on icons is a bit irrupting, especially when you are driving and trying to figure out what's what. I assume the gold-red steering wheel indicates Highways Assistance, and I assume the lack of that icon indicates Automatic Cruise Control?
Any help?
Thanks!
