First, let me say the Gravity is a good car. I've come from a Rivian and a Model X before this and it's definitely the most comfortable ride. There are a few small things I've noticed in daily use that are small but pretty frustrating.
1. The rear HVAC doesn't go back to the setting it was last on. I have two small children always in the back seat (one under 1 year old) and this is a massive oversight given the temperatures the back seat can reach (hot and cold). I have taken our child out of the car seat dripping in sweat because "Auto" doesn't engage the rear AC. It doesn't remember your last setting (I have to turn it on every time I get in the car). In my opinion, this is a critical oversight by the Lucid team with potential to cause real harm (think Arizona Summer). This might just be a big, but it's been there since we took delivery in January.
2. The screen doesn't default to being back where it was when I was last driving. Every time the car starts it loads the home screen. Maybe I'm an outlier, but I think the home screen is pretty useless. The map is too small to be useful, the music controls are too far away, and unless I'm on a call, I don't care to see information about my phone. Just have it start up where I left off.
3. Profile switching is ridiculously long still. I know there is probably a reason, but it's just slow. Maybe this becomes less of an issue once digital key is released and my husband and I aren't sharing a key.
4. (Already mentioned) Lack of digital key is killing me. I know it's on the works and when it comes, I will be overjoyed.
5. Mobile app is pretty terrible (Android). It consistently crashes, loads my old car despite it not being in my account (we used to have a Lucid Air, but sold last year). Commands sometimes don't work. Overall, they should find a new company to do their app. It's pretty bad compared to what I have with Rivian and what we used to have with Tesla.
Generally we are quite happy with the car especially now that early key issues seem to be resolved. I know they monitor the forums, so I'm hoping this lands with them (especially #1!). Hopefully this is also helpful for anyone looking at buying a Gravity. We would highly recommend especially for the driving comfort and space.
Are there any current annoying issues I've missed?
