Charging at NACS Superchargers

Not sure how well the Lucid would charge on the 300kW Rivian RAN chargers. They work great on Rivians. Have not looked at how the Wunderbox plays with the RAN chargers. If you go charge at a RAN charger, plaease post your experience.
RAN chargers are 1000V so they would work well with Lucid.

The RAN station in Queensbury NY is open to other vehicles. I have been there before it opened and will try it out next week.

Be interested at your charging speed and how it compares with EA and the benchmark charging curve.

I presume that means, in the near term, while the Tesla NACS network offers more charging locations, charging at NACS chargers will be less efficient, takes longer, with higher "parasitic losses". Is that the correct interpretation??
It will definitely take longer for the Air to charge at a Tesla charger until Tesla upgrades their sites to 1000V which I do not expect to have very soon. It will be a good backup option only.

I am only aware of the Joshua Tree Rivian RAN site currently open to other CCS vehicles. Maybe there are more sites coming on line soon.

RAN behavior should be the same as EA

I will admit, will be a little sad when RAN opens up to the public. They already have very few locations and few stalls per location. I can just picture all the Bolts and PHEV cars hogging the stalls charging at 50kw 🤦‍♂️

I share your concerns....my understanding is, Rivian RAN will charge a higher rate for non Rivian users in order to keep the "rift-rafts" away.

I wonder if Rivian RAN will give a preferred rate to Rivian owners who also have another non-Rivian CCS EV, like you and I.

Queensbury is $0.40 for Rivians and $0.53 for other vehicles.
Yeah, I am hoping that Rivian will only charge me the same rate whenI charge my Lucid at the RAN stations. They should be able to do that, as they have my Rivian ownership credentials on the sam echarging account. Hope springs eternal!

I would just expect the "brain trust" at Tesla to be extra hostile to Lucid especially.
But I could be wrong.
I wouldn't expect it from the team at large. Just one particular individual who has a history of Lucid hate. So long as he remains distracted, Lucid may just be able to get this deal through.

I don’t expect them to do that. RAN uses plug and charge with the Rivian, so it knows the VIN. When you plug in your Lucid, it will know it’s not your Rivian. Tesla does it this way as well. If you have a Tesla and non-Tesla. You will pay more for your non-Tesla.

I don't think the brain trust at Tesla resides all that much where the fanboy base believes it does. It resides largely in the Tesla engineering organization, many of whose people are now at Lucid. I doubt if the enmity toward Lucid extends very far down into the Tesla organization.
