CARPLAY

Just to be clear - you have tried going into settings, devices, and then hitting the CarPlay button? You have tried turning Bluetooth off and back on both in the car and on your phone? Same with WiFi on the phone?

Can you take a video the next time it fails?
I've done it all. Even had the mobile tech help me. It will work fine for a couple of days, then nothing! The CarPlay icon for the device disappears completely.

I’m having the same experience but have gone wired as I just don’t want to spend anymore time on this.
As an aside I tried two other family members iPhones and had the same experience.
It’s definitely a Lucid issue.

The Ottocast allows for your phone to connect wirelessly. So far, it's working flawlessly for me. It stays plugged in to the USB port in the console.

Someone how some cars are rock solid and others are not. I’ve had zero issues in months.

It disappears from the settings? Can we do a call sometime in the new year to try and fix this? I’m fascinated.

Has this been a problem all the time or only recently between iOS 18 and the iPhone 16? I’m finding the days of Apple’s reliable software are long gone. From the phone jamming up to constant anomalies with the software I’m wondering if it’s more iPhone problem than Lucid problem.

I’ve had the CarPlay icon disappear a few times recently but have found going into the connectivity section and tapping the CarPlay icon generally fixes it.

Not giving Lucid a software bug pass here but I’ve noticed a bunch of issues with Apple stuff lately also.

Which iPhone do you have? I have the 16 Pro Max with iOS 18.2 and I’ve had zero bugs. CarPlay is been very solid. If you’re having a lot of bugs related to networking, have you tried to reset your network settings?

I’ve got the 16 Pro Max also. It just constantly jams up for no reason for like 10 to 20 seconds at a time. Apps will just randomly close and have had the phone just flat out reset a few times also.

I was on the beta and thought that could be messing with it but have since removed myself from the beta and still have random issues. Might be time to head to the Apple Store if it continues.

Try to reset network settings, it can clear its head.

Happy to chat in the new year. Lucid mobile technician will be here tomorrow, so I’ll let him check it one more time. That said, I don’t hold out much hope.

I’m just shocked because it has been so flawless for me and others; sometimes I have to click the button or toggle Bluetooth, but that’s a “once every couple weeks” thing. That’s why I’m so curious.

Explain what you have tried. Then we can try to help you.
The phone is connected but CarPlay is not showing on the car even though I told it to connect. Lucid shows under CarPlay on my iPhone. I have deleted the phone, I have deleted the car. I have repaired the car and the phone. I did all that because CarPlay was loaded in the car but refused to start up when I entered/started the car.
